JOB TITLE: Senior Full-Stack Developer (with Stronger Backend Expertise)

Fountane operates on a scrum-based Agile delivery cycle, and you will actively contribute to refining and optimizing this process. You’ll collaborate with product owners, user experience designers, QA engineers, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver effective and robust solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Develop production-grade, modular, reusable, and scalable software.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end development and deployment of portfolio company solutions.
• Design system architecture, flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify and implement solutions.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
• Produce technical specifications and assess operational feasibility.
• Integrate software components into cohesive systems.
• Develop software verification plans and implement quality assurance procedures.
• Maintain and document software functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance.
• Deploy applications and evaluate user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Adhere to project plans, industry standards, and best practices.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:

• Experience:5 -7 years of professional experience in backend and full-stack development.
• Backend Expertise: Proficient in designing APIs, database management, and building scalable backend architectures.
• Full-Stack Skills: Demonstrable experience with technologies like React.js, Node.js, Angular, and Firebase.
• Programming Foundations: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and proficiency in JavaScript and its ecosystem.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (preferred) or Google Cloud Platform.
• Tech Stack Familiarity: Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express, Hasura, GraphQL, and other modern tools in the backend ecosystem.
• Agile Methodologies: Ability to work efficiently in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Swaypay is looking for a detail driven Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with remote startup experience who is comfortable asking “why?”. We want someone who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and has a track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills.

You'll work with the team to plan, shape, and build our new product features for both mobile and web. You'll get to use some of the latest technologies in order to build the best product possible.
