Role & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Financial Services team, contributing to the design and development of scalable system.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be Able To-

• Take ownership of delivering performant, scalable and high quality cloud based software, both frontend and backend side.
• Mentor team members to develop in line with product requirements.
• Collaborate with Senior Architect for design and technology choices for product development roadmap.
• Do code reviews.

Ideal Candidate

• Strong Software Engineer fullstack profile using NodeJS, Python, and React
• Mandatory (Experience) - Must have 6+ YOE in Software Development using Python and NodeJS (For backend) & React (For frontend)
• Mandatory (Core Skills 1): Must have strong experience in working on Typescript
• Mandatory (Core Skills 2): Must have experience in message based systems like Kafka, RabbitMq, Redis
• Mandatory (Core Skills 3): Databases - PostgreSQL & NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Mandatory (Company) - Product Companies Only
• Mandatory (Education) - B.Tech or Dual degree (Btech and Mtech or Integrated Msc/MS) from Tier 1 Engineering Institutes. Candidates from other institutions will not be considered unless they come from top-tier product companies
• Mandatory (Note) : This role is a hybrid role (2 days WFO)
• Preferred (Experience): Experience in Fin-Tech, Payment, POS and Retail products is highly preferred
• Preferred (Mentoring): Experience in mentoring, coaching the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable and performant full-stack web applications
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend teams to implement responsive, user-friendly interfaces
• Write unit tests using Jest and ensure code quality and reliability
• Develop RESTful APIs using Node.js and NestJS framework
• Utilize Docker Compose for local development and deployment
• Manage and optimize MySQL databases, including views, stored procedures, and performance tuning
• Implement access control mechanisms using identity providers like Okta or Auth0
• Document APIs using tools like SwaggerUI and Postman
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and team stand-ups via JIRA and Confluence
• Use Git for version control and manage merge requests and branches effectively
• Integrate application loggers for monitoring and diagnostics

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SASS/SCSS
• Strong hands-on experience with Angular 18 or higher
• Familiarity with Angular Material or similar UI component libraries
• Experience with Node.js and NestJS 10+
• Working knowledge of Docker Compose
• Strong SQL skills and experience with MySQL
• Understanding of authentication and authorization best practices with Okta, Auth0, etc.
• Comfort using Postman, SwaggerUI, Git, and logging tools
• Familiarity with agile development processes and using JIRA and Confluence

Nice to Have:

• Experience with form builders like Formsite or FormSort
• Knowledge of data encryption best practices
• Prior experience in the public health or POSIT (Public Health Informatics) domain

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience in full-stack development
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team environment

Availability to work UK shift hours to ensure overlap with the US-based client

• Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models
• Creating RESTful services with Node.js
• MERN stack developer must have proven experience in front & back-end development
• Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience
• Developer must expertise into MongoDB, Express, Node.js, & React.
• Create Unit and Integration tests to ensure the quality of code
• MERN full stack developer must have the ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly
• Understanding & proficiency in REST APIs.
• MERN stack developer should know Git Repository and Jira.
• Integration of data storage solutions [RDBMS, NoSQL DB]
• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Create security and data protection settings
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Full Stack Python Engineer at Silicon Valley AI Startup

• Experience as a full stack developer or similar role.
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages is good to have (e.g. Java, Scala, Python, C#, J2EE, Web Services) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications and familiarity with common stacks.
• Experience with large-scale distributed storage and database systems (SQL or NoSQL, e.g. MongoDB/Cassandra/MySQL).
• Superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate business use cases into good taxonomy design.
• Demonstrable skills in understanding importance of data design.
