Full Stack Architect

Responsibilities:

• Work with product managers to find solutions to critical problems, face internal customers, and create requirements.
• Triage and fix critical issues that arise in the field that affect our core product.
• Manage git repositories, pull requests, and review code.
• Communicate properly & promptly with all stakeholders.
• Build a proof-of-concept for new products from scratch.
• Optimize, clean up, and comment on the existing codebase.

Requirements:

• Must have 5-8 years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Must be an expert in JavaScript/Typescript with ES6+ features, Node.js, ReactJS, and Redux
• Must be an expert in HTML5 CSS3 SASS, and Webpack.
• You are proficient with RESTful API design and implementation using Node.js.0
• Proficiency in relational (MySQL, Cloud Spanner etc. ) and non-relational (MongoDB, Google Cloud Firestore etc. ) databases.
• Must be an expert in data structure and creating highly optimized algorithms.
• Should have a working knowledge of GCP services like App Engine, CloudSQL, Compute Engine etc.
• Should have a working understanding of microservices patterns, serverless design, and event-based architecture.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, and paradigms.

I. Key Responsibilities:

A. Frontend Development:

1. Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using React.js and other frontend technologies.

B. Backend Development:

1. Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using Node.js, Express.js, or other backend frameworks.

2. Implement effective RESTful APIs and server-side rendering techniques.

3. Collaborate with the team to design and implement database schemas, ensuring data integrity and security.

C. Collaboration and Communication:

1. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders.

2. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.

3. Communicate effectively with team members and clients to manage expectations and coordinate tasks.

II. Skills and Qualifications:

A. Frontend Technologies:

1. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6, React.js, and Bootstrap.

2. Familiarity with state management libraries (e.g., Redux) and frontend development tools (Babel, Webpack, NPM).

B. Backend Technologies:

1. Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Django, Flask, or other backend frameworks.

2. Experience with databases and ORM frameworks (SQL, NoSQL, Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, etc.).

C. Development Practices:

1. Solid understanding of the full web development life cycle and RESTful API design.

2. Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.) and version control systems (GitLab, GitHub).

3. Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Strider) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

D. General Skills:

• Total experience should be 10 yrs with minimum experience as full stack developer 5 plus years
• Effective team player with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

About Us:

We’re looking to hire someone to help scale Machine Learning and NLP efforts at Episource. You’ll work with the team that develops the models powering Episource’s product focused on NLP driven medical coding. Some of the problems include improving our ICD code recommendations , clinical named entity recognition and information extraction from clinical notes.

This is a role for highly technical engineers who combine outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to code up prototypes and productionalize using a large range of tools, frameworks, and languages. Most importantly they need to have the ability to autonomously plan and organize their work assignments based on high-level team goals.

What you will do at Episource:

You will be responsible for setting an agenda to develop and build machine learning platforms that positively impact the business, working with partners across the company including operations and engineering. You will be working closely with the machine learning team to design and implement back end components and services. You will be evaluating new technologies, enhancing the applications, and providing continuous improvements to produce high quality software.

Required Skills:

• Strong background in analytics, BI or data science deployments is preferable with 2-6 years of experience

• Knowledge of React/Vue, HTML, CSS

• Experience building and consuming APIs 

• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB and MEAN stack 

• Knowledge and experience with serverless architectures is a plus

• Hands-on experience with AWS or any major cloud service provider for deploying solutions

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes in deploying solutions on the cloud

• Hands-on experience Python, Apache Spark & Big Data platforms to manipulate large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

• Fluent in data fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation using a procedural language, statistics, experimentation, and modeling

We are looking for a Node.js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.
