Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization.

6sense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer and data to become part of a team
designing, developing, and deploying its customer-centric applications.
We’ve more than doubled our revenue in the past five years and completed our Series
E funding of $200M last year, giving us a stable foundation for growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Own critical datasets and data pipelines for product & business, and work
towards direct business goals of increased data coverage, data match rates, data
quality, data freshness
2. Create more value from various datasets with creative solutions, and unlocking
more value from existing data, and help build data moat for the company3. Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain optimal data pipelines, and assemble
large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business
requirements
4. Improving our current data pipelines i.e. improve their performance, SLAs,
remove redundancies, and figure out a way to test before v/s after roll out
5. Identify, design, and implement process improvements in data flow across
multiple stages and via collaboration with multiple cross functional teams eg.
automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, hand-off processes etc.
6. Work with cross function stakeholders including the Product, Data Analytics ,
Customer Support teams for their enablement for data access and related goals
7. Build for security, privacy, scalability, reliability and compliance
8. Mentor and coach other team members on scalable and extensible solutions
design, and best coding standards
9. Help build a team and cultivate innovation by driving cross-collaboration and
execution of projects across multiple teams
Requirements:
8-10+ years of overall work experience as a Data Engineer
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark. Experience with
Hadoop, Hive, Presto would-be a plus
Strong experience in writing complex, optimized SQL queries across large data
sets. Experience with optimizing queries and underlying storage
Experience with Python/ Scala
Experience with Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools
Experience with writing Hive / Presto UDFs in Java
Experience working on AWS cloud platform and services.
Experience with Key Value stores or NoSQL databases would be a plus.
Comfortable with Unix / Linux command line

As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users. Your role is integral to the creation of software systems and technical products. You'll need to be familiar, or become familiar with, programming and using coding languages.
Responsibilities:
- Extensively working on Manual Testing/API Testing/Functional or UI Testing.
- Develop test strategies and test plans for projects.
- Participate in developing and reviewing the test policies for the organization.
- Defining the scope of testing within the context of every release and every software testing level or cycle.
- The use of resources in an effective way and managing the resources for software testing.
- Applying the appropriate test measurement and metrics for the software product and testing team.
- Designing test scenarios for software usability, running these tests, and preparing reports on the effectiveness and defects to the production team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years-10 years of related work experience in API and Functionality testing preferably in the Payments domain.

Job Summary
A Senior Developer is responsible for writing clean and flawless code to produce fully functional modules
or apps according to the requirements; as part of day-to-day work. A sr. developer is expected to possess
expert level knowledge of Force.com platform and an analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
A Senior Developer needs to conduct following responsibilities at work -
1. Billability of at least 40 hrs per week (Util Target). Resource needs to ensure that assigned hours
are utilized on each project.
2. Perform thorough analysis on requirements i.e.
a. Obtain a deep understanding of the desired output
b. Check whether the implementation is possible or not; respecting the Salesforce
environment’s limitations or governors
c. Evaluate whether stated requirement (or a part) can be achieved via configuration before
opting for coding
A successful analysis results in -
● Derivation of all possible use cases
● Identification of any blockers, challenges or risks
● An optimal code design solution of complex requirements
● Thorough impact analysis of the planned development
A Senior developer must discuss the approach with TL/TM or an onshore TA and finalize the ETAs.
3. Develop high quality scalable code by
a. Following Salesforce.com and Silverline-crm standards/best practices
b. Leverage recommended frameworks (ex. Test framework or Trigger framework)
c. Write comprehensive test code asserting all possible use cases
d. Perform thorough unit tests
e. Fix all bugs reported from QA/UAT
f. Work on deployments through recommended tools and methodologies.
g. Time bound R&D for any unknown or newer areas
h. Developing reusable code components in a project
i. Mentor, assist and review peer developers within the teams
j. Document CDDDs
4. Follow devops processes i.e.
a. Use recommended IDEs
b. Ensure daily code check-in/check-out
c. Stay in compliance with Clayton and code review feedback points shared by TL/TM.
5. Facilitate proactive communication with project/product teams i.e.
a. Use all relevant channels (Emails, JIRA, Slack or Zoom meetings)
b. Be in sync with sprint/project/product teams
c. Share your plan of action during the start of your day
d. Send DSRs by end of the day
e. Ensure decent overlap/availability in onshore team’s timezone (whenever required).
6. Focus on learning & development by
a. Setting OKRs for the quarter in alignment with the Company goals.

- Firm knowledge of scalable backend architecture, DevOps and scaling applications infrastructure for web and mobile applications from 1000 users to 1,00,000 users.
- At least 3 years of people management experience with leadership qualities, preferably at an early stage startup.
- Advanced knowledge of Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Agile/Scrum Methodology.
- Ability to deal with high pressure situations in a fast paced environment and meet targets without compromising the quality of the deliverables.
