Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Role & Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of critical backend services — from architecture and development to deployment and scale.

Design systems for performance, reliability, and observability. Identify bottlenecks and eliminate them proactively.

Collaborate with product and design to deeply understand user pain points and build the right solutions.

Work independently and own complex modules with minimal oversight.

Champion clean, maintainable code and help set a high bar for engineering excellence across the team.

Stay up-to-date with new tools, technologies, and backend trends — and bring the best ideas into our stack.

Ideal Candidate

2+ years of backend development experience, ideally with Kotlin and Spring Boot (or willingness to ramp up quickly).

You’ve worked in fast-moving teams and thrive when given room to figure things out.

You take initiative and can drive complex modules to completion without needing constant guidance.

Strong with both low-level and high-level design; you know how to build scalable, reliable RESTful APIs.

Proficient with relational databases and aware of common performance pitfalls.

Confident with debugging and optimizing — memory leaks, latency issues, and other hard-to-find problems don’t scare you.

You write clean, testable code and know how to leave systems better than you found them.

You bring a product mindset — caring not just about what’s built, but why and how it delivers value to users.

We are a tech venture which provides Product Engineering, QA Automation, Infrastructure, Data, and Market Research services.

Technical Proficiency : 
Must have : 

• Strong development experience in Python in the environment of Unix/Linux/Ubuntu

• Strong practical knowledge of Python and its libraries.

• Current working experience with cloud deployment of AWS/Azure/GCP, Microservice architecture, and Docker in Python.

• Good knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices

• Good Experience of Python with Django/ Scrapy/ Flask frameworks.

• Good Experience in Jupyter/ Docker/ Elastic Search, etc.

• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Proven ability to drive large-scale projects with a deep understanding of Agile SDLC, high collaboration, and leadership.
  
  Good to have : 

• Expected to have migration experience from one version to the other, as this project is about migration to the latest version.

• Preferred if had an OpenEdx platform experience or any LMS platform. 

   

• Lead the development of the backend systems for our first product
• Build reliable, secure and performant backend systems
• Drive test coverage and continuous delivery automation within the team
• Mentor and provide feedback to teammates

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Deep and wide knowledge of Python ecosystem
• Can write code that is readable, maintainable, secure and performant
• Know the importance of tests and how to approach writing different types of tests
• Good intuition for REST API design
• Deep understanding of relational databases, transactions, entity-relationship modeling
• Comfortable writing highly concurrent systems
• Experienced in using profilers, tuning garbage collection, optimizing SQL queries

As a Go lang Developer, you will be working on Blockchain Layer 1.

● Advanced proficiency in Golang programming language, and good skills in languages such as C++,

Java, Solidity and Python (good to have).

● Extensive experience in back-end development, algorithms, and data structures.

● Extensive Knowledge of blockchain structure, protocol development or Smart Contract

● Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code that follows best practices and coding standards.

● knowledge of distributed and decentralized network protocols

● Knowledge of various decentralized ledger technologies and protocols

● Understanding of gossip protocol and consensus protocol

● Knowledge of best practices in data protection.

● Collaborating with managers to determine technology needs and envisaged functionalities.

● Creating application features and interfaces by using programming languages and writing multithreaded codes.

● Applying the latest cryptology techniques to protect digital transaction data against cyberattacks and information hacks.

● Maintaining client and server-side applications.

●    Develop on server-side cloud software using a serverless approach (AWS).

●    Work hands-on on bringing to life IoT and Edge architectures and applications

●    Work with teams on delivering key features and performance targets.

●    Experience on AWS, AWS Lambda, AWS IoT Core, AWS Cloud Watch is a big plus.
