We are looking for an experienced Cassandra Administrator with strong expertise in Apache Cassandra and DataStax Enterprise (DSE) environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, and migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DSE Cassandra database clusters.
- Monitor database performance and optimize for scalability and availability.
- Set up and manage replication, backup, and recovery processes.
- Perform DSE Cassandra migration from RHEL to AWS Amazon Linux 2023.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and outages.
- Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to provide database support.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, or Ansible.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Implement disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
- Assist in designing highly scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in NoSQL database administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Cassandra / DataStax Enterprise (DSE).
- Good understanding of Cassandra architecture, consistency levels, partitioning, compaction, gossip protocol, and snitches.
- Experience with Nodetool, CQLSH, and DataStax OpsCenter.
- Proficiency in Cassandra Query Language (CQL).
- Hands-on experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
