C++ Programmer for Autonomous Drive

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled C++ Developer with DevOps and Simulation experience to work on simulation platforms and ADAS application workflows. The ideal candidate should have strong programming knowledge in C++, hands-on experience with simulation toolchains, and exposure to Azure Cloud, CI/CD, Python automation, Git, and software testing.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining simulation-related software, automating simulation workflows, integrating CI/CD pipelines, and supporting scalable simulation workloads in Azure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance C++ applications and components for simulation and ADAS workflows.
• Work with Simulation Tool Chain (STC) software, concepts, data architectures, and simulation workflows.
• Configure and automate simulation pipelines using Python scripting.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps/Azure Pipelines.
• Use Azure VM, Azure Storage, and other Azure services to scale and execute simulation workloads.
• Integrate simulation applications and testing processes into automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Manage source code using Git and follow branching, merging, and version-control practices.
• Write and maintain unit tests in C++ using appropriate testing frameworks.
• Perform simulation validation and analyze simulation results to identify software issues.
• Troubleshoot build, integration, simulation, and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with software developers, simulation engineers, QA engineers, and ADAS teams.
• Improve automation, reliability, scalability, and performance of simulation workflows.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong programming experience in C++.
• Hands-on experience with Simulation Tool Chains (STC) or automotive simulation environments.
• Understanding of ADAS / Autonomous Driving application workflows.
• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud, particularly:
• Azure VM
• Azure Pipelines
• Azure Storage
• Good understanding of Git and version-control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and pipelines.
• Knowledge of C++ unit testing frameworks such as Google Test/Google Mock.
• Understanding of simulation validation and testing methodologies.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Automotive / Embedded Software development experience.
• Experience with ADAS, autonomous driving, or vehicle simulation.
• Experience with Docker/containers.
• Jenkins or GitLab CI experience.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with simulation platforms such as dSPACE, Vector, MATLAB/Simulink, CarMaker, CARLA, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of automotive standards such as AUTOSAR is an advantage.

Description:

• Strong experience with 32-bit microcontrollers such as STM32, NXP, Renesas, TI, Microchip, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of C/C++ programming and exposure to Assembly.
• Strong experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS, µC/OS, embOS, VxWorks, QNX, etc.
• Hands-on experience in developing HAL, BSP and low-level device drivers.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller peripherals and interfaces** including ADC, DAC, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN FD, RS485, DMA, Ethernet, SD/eMMC, SDIO, etc.
• Strong experience with Automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN FD, LIN, J1939 and UDS.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR concepts and architecture is an advantage.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics, ECU communication, and vehicle network architecture.
• Hands-on experience using Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Function Generator, Multimeter and other debugging equipment.
• Experience in board bring-up, hardware-software integration and debugging of embedded boards.
• Ability to debug power, clock, reset, communication interfaces, and peripheral-related hardware issues at board level.
• Good understanding of schematics, PCB layouts and electronic circuits around microcontrollers and ARM-based systems.
• Ability to work closely with hardware engineers for design reviews, component selection, hardware validation, and issue resolution.
• Experience with prototype board testing, hardware validation, and root-cause analysis of HW/SW issues.
• Experience in reverse engineering and debugging of embedded systems.
• Strong understanding of embedded system architecture and system-level design.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and/or RTOS-based systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of networking concepts including OSI layers, TCP/IP stacks and common IP protocols is a plus.
• Knowledge of NMEA/NMEA 2000 standards is a plus.
• Exposure to ASPICE, ISO 26262, MISRA-C and automotive cybersecurity is an advantage.
• Experience with automotive development and debugging tools such as Vector CANoe/CANalyzer is a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The right person for this position should have 7+ years of experience in Embedded Systems, preferably with strong exposure to Automotive Embedded Systems.
