Job Purpose:

As a Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing, leading and managing a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software products and solutions. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, project management, and people management to drive the software development process and achieve organizational goals. 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development:

•    Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.  

Goal Setting and Feedback:

•    Set clear goals and expectations for team members, and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations.  

Project Management:

•       Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of software development projects.

•       Define project scope, objectives, and timelines. Allocate resources effectively and ensure project success.  

Technical Expertise and Guidance:

•    Provide technical expertise and guidance to the development team, helping them make informed decisions and solve complex technical challenges. 

Industry Best Practices:

•    Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Process Improvement:

•    Implement and improve software development processes, methodologies, and standards, such as Agile or Scrum, to enhance productivity and software quality. 

Quality Assurance:

•    Ensure code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes are in place and followed. 

Collaboration and Communication:

•       Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other teams to define project requirements, prioritize tasks, and provide regular updates on project status. 

•       Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Resource Management:

•       Manage resources effectively, including budget allocation, staffing, and workload distribution.

•       Identify and address resource constraints or skill gaps.

Risk Management:

•       Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges or roadblocks.

•       Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or quality.

Quality Standards:

•       Ensure that software products meet high-quality standards by implementing testing and quality control processes. 

•       Address and resolve software defects and issues 

Qualifications & Experience:

•      Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 

•      Over 12+ year of proven experience in leading software product development, software architecture and design for complex systems. 

•      Strong Hands-on experience in SDLC, AGILE, coding and design experience.

•      Strong understanding of programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to software development. 

•      Proven experience in software development with a strong technical background. 

•      Prior experience in a leadership or management role, with a track record of successfully leading software development teams. 

Skills & Attributes:

Technical Skills:

•       Proficiency in software development methodologies (AGILE, SDLC), tools, and best practices. 

•       Prior working experience in the technologies like Python API development(API frameworks including Fast API, Rest API) 

•       Prior working experience in the UI technologies like React JS, Redux , HTML5/CSS and Java Scripting 

•       Good working experience in RDBMS like PostgreSQL, hands-on experience in SQL is must 

•       Nice to have experience in technologies like Spark, Hive  

•       Experience in building enterprise scale SaaS software products using Microservices architecture and cloud platform like AWS and Azure   

•       Experience in designing and implementing scalable, distributed systems is preferred. 

•       Proficiency in ensuring code quality, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards. 

•       Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application is advantageous.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design & build test harnesses for Automation Testing.
• Design test automation framework and develop the new test automation libraries; Should be very much hands on with tools like Selenium, Appium etc.
• Design & execute Regression Test Pack using frontend & backend test scripts.
• Design and Develop the Automated solution for Sanity Testing for various repeatable tests.
• Implement QA process and Automated testing for all the workstreams to improve the overall testing cycle
• Participate in the development and support of the testing program aimed at supporting multiple testing efforts simultaneously.
• Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge into the team.
• Assist with test plan articulation, planning, and management of individual testing events.
• Utilize appropriate testing tools for both front-end and back-end Quality Assurance.
• Identify testable events and develop the test cases/test scripts.
• Identify and capture test data to support the test cases defined by the testing team.
• Leverage the testing process and test tool kit to create reusable test assets.
• Should have basic knowledge on integrating API Keys for AI tools.

Key Requirements:

• 2-5 years experience of relevant Industry experience. 
• Good understanding of QA methodology, automation expertise, and ability to code
• Experience with Selenium-Web driver, Selenium Grid, Selenium Page Object Model, Page Factory concept
• Experience in designing and implementing test frameworks (like Data driven, Keyword driven or Hybrid along with custom reporting) and strategy for choosing automated testing tools
• Awareness of OO programming (Classes/Methods, etc.)
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Must possess critical thinking skills in addition to good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to function in a demanding environment;
• Ability to assume the perspective of customers and their users and serve as their advocates
• Experience in Appium, Cucumber, Rest Assured, Karate would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with teammates to define, design, and shape new features.

2. Design and develop backend API microservices using Node.js.

3. Design and develop applications in an AWS and GCP environment.

4. Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.

5. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.

6. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the software.

Requirements

1. Solid experience in Node.js.

2. Good experience using frameworks such as Express.JS or Restify.

3. Willing to learn HapiJS.

4. Hands-on experience with JavaScript Development.

5. Able to work independently and carry out a task to achieve the design goal with minimal supervision.

6. Good programming skills and communications.

Profile : Social Media Executive (Client Servicing)

Exp: 6 months-2 years

Role: To manage social media accounts of CarWale’s Dealer Partners generating content for social media engagement.

Key Outcomes Expected:

Should be good at understanding client requirements and deliver basis commitment

Ideating, Posting and Promoting content on Social Media platforms (majorly Facebook & Instagram)

Ideating with the team on how to further build the dealer social platforms

Researching on various creative and ad formats available on the social platforms

Coordinate with design team to get creatives in place for social media accounts

Creation of content calendar

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development

A good team player with expertise working as part of Agile teams. Hands-on experience in practising Scrum, XP and Kanban.

• Strong hands-on experience in web development using ASP.NET MVC and C#.
• Usage of SQL and no SQL databases
• Hands on experience in test-driven development and DevOps practices
• Strong design capabilities, following SOLID principles using C#
• Well-versed with pair-programming
• Working on solutions hosted in cloud environments (AWS or Azure)
