Business Development Intern

Strong Full stack/Backend engineer profile

Mandatory (Experience): Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience as a full stack developer (backend-heavy)

Mandatory (Backend Skills): Must have 1.5+ strong experience in Python, building REST APIs, and microservices-based architectures

Mandatory (Frontend Skills): Must have hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React or Vue) and JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Mandatory (Database Skills): Must have solid experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis

Mandatory (Cloud & Infra): Must have hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ELB, AutoScaling, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and SNS

Mandatory (DevOps & Infra): Must have working experience with Linux environments, Apache, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring

Mandatory (CS Fundamentals): Must have strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, OS concepts, and system design

Mandatory (Company) : Product companies (B2B SaaS preferred)

Mandatory (Stability): Must have atleast 2 years of experience in each of the previous companies (if less exp, then proper reason)

Key Responsibilities & Activities

1. Requirement Gathering & Analysis

○ Engage with clients to understand their business processes and objectives.

○ Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements to identify specific needs.

○ Provide process consulting by mapping ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ processes to ensure maximum utilization of standard Odoo features.

2. Odoo Setup & Configuration

○ Set up Odoo environments based on the customer’s hosting preferences.

○ Configure Odoo applications to align with client-specific business workflows.

○ Set up companies, users, and access rights based on organizational structure and security needs.

3. Functional Architecting (for Customization Requirements)

○ Conduct GAP analysis to identify business requirements that necessitate custom development.

○ Define functional workflows for business processes requiring customization.

○ Draft user stories or detailed functional specifications to guide the technical team.

4. Data Migration

○ Plan and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to Odoo.

○ Perform data imports (via templates or scripts) and validate data accuracy post-migration.

○ Troubleshoot and resolve any data-related discrepancies.

5. Training

○ Conduct end-user training sessions on both standard and customized Odoo features.

○ Develop training materials and user documentation for effective onboarding.

○ Provide ongoing support and address user queries during the training phase.

6. Testing

○ Perform functional testing to ensure quality before delivering features to the client.

○ Support clients during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and follow up to ensure completion.

○ Define success criteria for user stories involving development or customization.

7. Go-live

○ Plan and execute cutover activities for go-live.

○ Ensure smooth transition and provide immediate support during the go-live period.

○ Maintain high availability and responsiveness during this critical phase.

8. Support

○ Provide ongoing support to end-users after implementation.

○ Resolve functional issues and respond to support requests promptly.

○ Ensure service levels are maintained in accordance with agreed SLAs.

9. Documentation

○ Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications (FSDs/User Stories).

○ Prepare user guides and manuals for custom-developed features. ○ Ensure documentation remains up-to-date with ongoing changes and improvements.

10. Stakeholder Communication

○ Maintain proactive and transparent communication with clients regarding project progress.

○ Conduct regular project review meetings to ensure alignment with client expectations.

11. Project Management

○ Manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.

○ Utilize Aktiv's project management system for tracking tasks and logging timesheets.

12. Team Collaboration

○ Work closely with developers, technical leads, and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions.

○ Participate in regular internal meetings to align project activities.

○ Support the sales team during pre-sales by providing expert consultation.

13. Strategic Involvement

○ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for internal processes & systems and project delivery standards.

○ Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

○ Mentor junior consultants or business analysts and support their development through structured training plans.

Responsibilities :

• Design and execute ‘ Brand positioning strategies ‘ for campuses . Including the execution of quick wins and strategic alignment of long term plans
• Plan and organize ‘campus engagement events’ for better brand positioning
• Primary and secondary research to forecast  and mitigate any brand threats or perception mismatches
• Work with multiple stakeholders in creating brand strategy, designing new programs to help campus students and entry level graduates start and pursue their learning journey from onboarding through deployment
• Project management skills to manage delivery of branding materials like digital content, blogs, mailers, websites, brochures, posters, standees, newsletters, WhatsApp communication posters, events, video storyboarding, press write-ups, with individual accountability
• Conceptualize, create and edit presentations for learning strategists, managers, leadership team, with a high level of accuracy and aesthetic value
• Efficient in designing collaterals with new age themes, attractive messaging, taglines, hashtags, WIIFM strategy that drives a call to action.

• Expertise in test planning and test strategy design for various types of testing - integration testing, functional testing, system testing and regression.

• Ability to quickly learn the functional aspects of the project & be the quality gatekeeper for the code release.

• Experience in testing the developed UI pages against the UX design to ensure the experience is realised. 

• Experience in creating knowledge artifacts and authoring guides for end-users

• Experience in creating test scenarios, test cases, traceability

• Hands-on experience with JIRA, WIKI, or Zephyr applications

• Understanding and working knowledge in Scrum Methodology

• Experience in Web,mobile, cross browser and device testing.

• Experience in Automation testing with Java and Selenium

• experience in frameworks like TestNG and Cucumber

   3+ years of experience in deployment, monitoring, tuning, and administration of high concurrency MySQL production databases.

• Solid understanding of writing optimized SQL queries on MySQL databases
• Understanding of AWS, VPC, networking, security groups, IAM, and roles.
• Expertise in scripting in Python or Shell/Powershell
• Must have experience in large scale data migrations
• Excellent communication skills.

Engineers have experience:

• Expert experience with hybrid mobile application and plugin development using Cordova, PhoneGap
• Solid understanding of vanilla JavaScript independent of any framework
• Proven expertise in JavaScript tooling—debugging and build tools
• Good to have some experience with OpenCV and creating Cordova plugins. Awesome, if worked on some camera vision-related apps in the past.
• Experience with upgrading Cordova projects on iOS and Android.
• Experience with task automation frameworks like grunt in mobile app development tooling together with Xcode and Android SDK
• Experience with salesforce mobile cloud iOS and Android SDKs is a plus
• Experience with Native iOS & Android development is a plus
• Should have expert level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3
• Should have strong debugging skills on Developer Tools of the browser and working with cross-browser UI.
• Unit and UI testing frameworks like Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, Protractor, etc.
• Should have experience in Response / Adaptive Web Design for desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Good understanding of CSS preprocessors LESS/SASS.
• Must know about the complete deployment cycle (Alpha - Beta - Prod) on the App Store and Play Store.
• Provisioning DevOps tooling and continuous integration
• Driving development best practices, including unit testing, coding standards, and code reviews
• Capable of implementing industry best-practices related to mobile application development concepts, design, and architecture

Preferred experience includes:

• Familiarity with other front-end development such as Angular,  React or Vue
• Good to have task automators like Gulp and Grunt
• System monitoring and security design and implementation
