Role Description:

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer located in Ahmedabad, India, with flexibility for some remote work. The Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining a scalable automation framework for web and mobile applications. The Sr. Python/Cypress Automation Engineer will also work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, and collaborate with other QA engineers to ensure high-quality solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience
• Strong proficiency in Python with excellent understanding of: Python unit testing frameworks (PyTest, Unittest), web-scraping (bs4, lxml), and good-to-have modules (requests, lxml, pandas, numpy, etc.)
• Good Knowledge in testing frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Appium, and TestNG
• Experience in End-to-End testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, and API testing
• Demonstrated experience with test reporting tools such as Allure, ExtentReports, and Cucumber
• Excellent understanding of CI/CD pipeline, build automation, and deployment pipelines
• Experience in software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Kanban
• Expertise in SQL and other databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.
• An analytical mind with keen problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

About the Role

As a Backend Developer, you will work remotely with Sun King’s EasyBuy business unit to design and develop software that improves the operations of our field teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop applications/systems based on wireframes and product requirements.
• Create logical and physical data models to meet application needs.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs based on operational needs.
• Perform unit testing on code to ensure reliability, including edge cases and usability.
• Write reusable, maintainable code following DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself) principles.
• Integrate existing tools and business systems, including external services like ticketing and communication software.
• Collaborate with team members and product managers to understand project requirements and contribute to system design.

You Might Be a Strong Candidate If You:

• Have 1-2 years of backend development experience and strong problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
• Have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and expertise in Core Java.
• Have experience with databases such as SQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Have integrated web services such as SOAP, REST, JSON, and XML.
• Are familiar with RESTful APIs for linking Android applications to backend services.
• Experience with version control systems like Git is preferred but not mandatory.
• Additional knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks like Spring or Hibernate is a plus.

• Ideating on tech-product improvements to automate the funding application process for brands
