We are now looking for a Design Lead to own and elevate our B2C design vision, lead our design team, and craft intuitive, user-centric experiences that make people fall in love with our brand.
Role Overview
This is a full-time, leadership role based in Hyderabad. As the Design Lead, you will be responsible for end-to-end design ownership — from UX research to polished, ready-to-build UI, across both web and mobile platforms. You will guide a talented team, work closely with Product, Growth, and Tech, and ensure every user touchpoint is beautiful, consistent, and impactful.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the Design Team
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of UI/UX designers.
- Conduct design reviews, set quality benchmarks, and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Create a culture of design excellence, continuous learning, and innovation.
2. Own the User Experience
- Champion user-first thinking across all teams — every design decision starts with the question: “How will this feel for our users?”
- Lead UX research, usability testing, and journey mapping to understand user needs deeply.
- Translate insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
3. Drive B2C Impact
- Design conversion-optimized flows that are visually delightful and business-smart.
- Collaborate with Growth & Marketing on campaigns, landing pages, and brand touchpoints that inspire trust and action.
- Ensure every interaction reduces friction, increases retention, and builds loyalty.
4. Collaborate Across Functions
- Work with Product Managers to define user flows and feature priorities.
- Partner with Developers to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate implementation.
- Align with Marketing & Brand to maintain a unified design language.
5. Evolve the Brand
- Maintain and evolve the CraftMyPlate Design System.
- Keep our visual identity premium, approachable, and celebration-ready.
- Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and UX best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years in UI/UX or Product Design (with at least 2 years in a lead role).
- Proven experience designing B2C products (web + mobile).
- Strong portfolio showing problem-solving, UX thinking, and measurable impact.
- Mastery of Figma and other modern design/prototyping tools.
- Experience in user research, A/B testing, and data-informed design.
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Startup experience is mandatory; food, catering, or e-commerce industry experience is a plus.

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core based Web API, C#, LINQ, Entity framework.
• Strong hands-on experience on writing complex stored procedures, functions, creating views and writing complex database queries with database being SQL Server
• Nice to have: Working experience on Azure components such as Azure functions, App Services, Azure Storage such as blobs/Queues/Table storage etc., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GIT
Key Responsibilities:
● Conduct individual counselling sessions with students to evaluate their career aspirations, interests, skills, and strengths.
● Offer tailored career guidance, resources, and tactics to assist individuals in making well-informed decisions about their professional journeys.
● Aid students in formulating and executing effective job search plans, encompassing resume construction, cover letter composition, and interview readiness.
● Administer and interpret career assessments to provide clients with valuable insights into their strengths, personality traits, and suitable career options.
● Stay current with industry trends, labour market information, and emerging job opportunities to provide informed advice to clients.
● Visit government schools to deliver career guidance to students and be open to community visits.
● Develop and conduct workshops, webinars, or seminars on topics related to careers, such as networking, job search strategies, and professional development.
● Maintain precise and confidential client records, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy regulations.
● Collaborate with team members and external partners to deliver comprehensive career support services.
● Possess a solid understanding of the vocational and professional career landscape in Uttar Pradesh.
● Demonstrate awareness of ground-level career awareness in India.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in [relevant fields, e.g., Education, Sociology, Counselling, Psychology, Social Work and Human Resources] (Master's degree is also preferred).
● Proficiency in Odia, Hindi and English is a must.
● Proven experience in career counselling or related roles, with a track record of helping clients achieve their career goals.
● Strong knowledge of career development theories, job search strategies, and employment trends.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
● Proficiency in using career assessment tools and resources.
● Familiarity with relevant software and technology, including Microsoft Office Suite and career management platforms.
● Certification in career counselling or a related field (e.g., National Certified Counselor, Certified Career Development Facilitator) is a plus.
Other details:
· Work week: Monday to Saturday
· Work timings: 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
· Remuneration: INR 15,000/- to INR 25,000/- per month (including a fixed remuneration and a variable bonus at 9:1 ratio along with 10% TDS deduction) + travel allowances as per HR policy.
· Contract duration: 10 months (with a potential extension of 2 years subject to performance)
