About the Role

We are seeking motivated Data Engineering Interns to join our team remotely for a 3-month internship. This role is designed for students or recent graduates interested in working with data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data tools. You will gain practical experience in building scalable data solutions. While this is an unpaid internship, interns who successfully complete the program will receive a Completion Certificate and a Letter of Recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and building data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analytics.
• Work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) for data storage and retrieval.
• Help optimize data workflows for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Document workflows, schemas, and technical processes.

Requirements

• Strong interest in data engineering, databases, and big data systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
• Understanding of ETL concepts and data pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is an advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and enhance the SEW brand and value proposition in the market.
• Meet and exceed sales targets for OEM/EU customers within the assigned region.
• Provide exceptional service and application support to assigned customers.
• Manage receivables collection and ensure proper completion of statutory forms.
• Identify and capitalise on project business opportunities.
• Foster and nurture strong relationships with customers to drive long-term partnerships.
• Monitor sales trends and competitor activities, and report forecasts to management.
• Submit travel and other expense claims promptly.
• Maintain accurate records and documents as per Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.

Authority:

• Make decisions on FOC (Free of Charge) replacement and service in conjunction with the Branch Manager.
• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to make pricing decisions.
• Organise customer entertainment with approval from the Branch Manager.

Dimensions:

• Area: Region Assigned
• Contribution to Turnover: 2% of company turnover

Profile:

• Education: Graduate in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics engineering from a reputable institute.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in selling similar products.
• Skills Required: Strong proficiency in Customer Relationship Management, Presentation Skills, and Negotiation Skills.

This person MUST have:

• BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent
• Cloud app development experience
• Strong Django and ReactJS experience
• Advanced knowledge of Python and relational databases
• Understanding of APIs, pagination, searching, sorting 
• Experience with building, modifying and extending API endpoints (REST or

GraphQL) for data retrieval and persistence.

• Creating high performance UI etc.
• Experience with SQL and NOSQL databases

• Experience with the full software development life cycle, including requirements

collection, design, implementation, testing, and operational support.

• Experience with scrum or other agile software development methodology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, decision making and

influencing skills.

Experience:

• Min 3 year experience
• Not more than 15 year experience.
• Startup experience is a must. 

Location

• Remotely, anywhere in India

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

Position:

• Full time/Direct

• In-depth knowledge of C++
• Proven and demonstrable experience in developing software applications in C++
• Experience In Large Scala application
• Should have worked Independently
• Experience designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies
• Very strong problem solving, analysis skills
• Image processing / Image analysis programming experience would be beneficial
• Experience with DICOM standards and Medical Imaging will be a plus
