SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of databases. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database performance tuning, development, administration, and maintenance while implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
Experience: 2+ to 7+ years (based on role level).
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration: Install, upgrade, and manage SQL Servers.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune database performance.
Security & Compliance: Ensure database security, access control, and compliance.
Backup & Recovery: Configure and maintain database backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
Automation: Write PowerShell/Unix shell scripts for automating routine tasks.
Database Development: Design and optimize stored procedures, queries, triggers, and views.
Troubleshooting: Work on incidents, change tickets, and problem tickets.
Cloud & Infrastructure: Prior experience working with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP is preferred.
Documentation: Maintain proper documentation for database changes and configurations.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system admins, and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in SQL Server tools and database management.
In-depth knowledge of database performance, security, backup, and recovery.
Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and automation (PowerShell, Unix shell scripting).
MCSE/MCSA certification (preferred).
Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server infrastructures.
Hands-on experience in configuring SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
Experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB (any 2 preferred).
Ability to attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and document changes.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for web and mobile.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to identify bugs and performance issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to resolve issues.
- Track and document defects using tools like JIRA or Trello.
- Perform regression and performance testing to ensure product quality.
Required Skills
- 0-2 years of QA or software testing experience.

- Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
