6sense is seeking a Python Developer to become part of a team designing, developing, and deploying its customer centric applications.

A Python Developer at 6sense will have the opportunity to

• Optimize components for maximum performance across multiple devices and browsers
• Write performant REST APIs for both internal and external consumption
• Build micro services and their deployment process
• Work with problems of scale, employ technologies that are distributed in nature.
• Perform code reviews

Required qualifications and must have skills

• BE/BTech/BS or equivalent
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven-deep-expertise with Python programming (3 to 8 Years of minimum hands-on experience in Python).
• Hands on with Data structures & Algorithm programming.
• Experience in working with frameworks like Django, Flask, etc.
• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
• Experience with any RDBMS and strong SQL knowledge
• Comfortable with Unix / Linux command line
• Object-oriented concepts & design patterns

Skills Required:

· Strong application development and design experience in highly Scalable enterprise JAVA/J2EE systems.

· Strong experience in complex application design, ability to provide solutions, design Concepts, design patterns.

· Strong understanding of Java best practices, system scalability, and performance tuning.

· Expertise in Spring (MVC, CORE, Boot, JDBC).

· Strong Knowledge of Restful services, XML, JSON are required.

· Having knowledge in Hadoop/Bigdata/ETL/Reporting systems is a plus.

At Kafqa, we are building the next generation performing arts platform. Our mission is to transform how India learns, performs & watchers performing arts. We are currently in stealth mode with a target public launch date in April. Our launch services consist of technology enabled dance classes in our proprietary studios, production facilities and social media broadcasting & competitions.

Founder & Team

The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business. The other members of the founding team consist of senior executives from Shiamak Davar & Byju’s.

Background

• At least 1+ years’ experience in back-end development in a fast-paced environment, working in Python & Django Framework
• Deep understanding of technologies used in web-deployed SaaS products, including Rest APIs
• Exposure to AWS, Azure or other cloud providers

Opportunity

We will share our workload as a team and we expect you to work on a broad range of tasks. Here’s are some of the things you might have to do on any given day:

• Developing APIs and endpoints for deployments of our product
• Infrastructure Development such as building databases, creating and maintaining automated jobs
• Build out the back-end to deploy and scale our product

Skills

• Hands-on experience with Python (1+ years)

What You'll do:

• 4+ years of experience building scalable backends using Nodejs
• In-depth knowledge of any framework of Nodejs (i.e. Express, Hapi, Koa.js)
• Hands on experience with developing REST APIs using Node.js and any of the above framework
• Should have experience with Socket.IO
• Familiar with oauth integration Social Networking API (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Google+)
• Good understanding of standard authentication systems such as OAuth2 and JWT
• Knowledge of server-side templating (e.g. Jade, Handlebars.js, etc.)
• Should have understanding of model, caching, async mechanisms
• Hands-on experience with implementing Role based User authentication and authorization system
• Understanding of caching, database interactions, middlewares

Our core customer-facing product today is a native Android application. In addition to this, we are building internal tools for customer support, investment management, marketing analytics and business management. In the future, we plan to hugely expand the features in our core product, build iOS and web products, and continuously improve our internal tools to better serve our customers.

For our back-end, we use Node.js / MySQL / AWS. We are currently a 3-member engineering team (1 back-end, 1 Android, 1 full stack) led by our founding engineer and advised by a senior technology executive from a leading fintech company.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our software applications
• Build reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications
• Set-up our technology infrastructure and integrate with 3rd party applications
• Contribute to internal discussions around product features, roadmap and technologies used
• Mentor & recruit engineers to the team
• Set up processes related to engineering & product

Skills / Required Experience:

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent, with solid foundational knowledge in at least two general programming languages, data structures, algorithms, system architecture, security and networking protocols.
• At least 6 years of back-end development experience in a software product company is required for this role.
• Exposure to modern software development processes, multiple front-end and back-end technologies, and open-source software.
• Proficiency with tools like Gitlab/Jira/Firebase, as well as AWS and commonly used database systems etc. is required
• Experience in an early-stage startup or having founded your own startup would be good to have (but not necessary).

CTC:

8.5-10.5 LPA based on experience and on performance in the interview round (70% Fixed - 30% Variable Incentive based on delivery schedule) (We do ZERO deductions since the salary will be paid from Singapore)

At this position you will:

• Get solid experience with high-load distributed architecture using REST and Kafka services.
• Work with automated CI/CD processes, AWS cloud, and VoIP.
• Implement and support microservices based on Spring MVC, Camel, MySQL, Mongo, and Kafka.

Requirement

• At least 1 year of experience with Java Core, Java EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot.
• Not more than 3 years of experience in Java Core, Java EE, Spring Core, Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of SQL database technologies.
• Experience with Scrum / Agile methodology.
• Willingness to learn and explore new technologies.
• Git: merge, rebase, cherry-pick should be fluent.
• Good level of English B1 or higher.

It would be a nice bonus to have:

• Experience with distributed architecture.

• Hands-on experience with Kafka, MongoDB, and Apache Camel.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Heroku, etc.).

• Experience with client-side development (we use Angular8 for website).
