Salary: ₹15-25 LPA CTC (1L up to 1.5L In hand Per Month)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Kotlin/Java (not Android) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable backend solutions, working with relational databases, and utilizing modern frameworks like Spring and Webflux.

This is a remote role, but candidates based in Pune/Mumbai who can travel for training purposes will be preferred.

• Must-Have Skills:Kotlin/Java backend development (5+ years)

• Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain backend services using Kotlin/Java.
• Design and implement scalable microservices with Spring Boot/Webflux (Reactor).
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and ensure optimal data handling.
• Optimize backend performance and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure best practices in coding, security, and system design.

• Nice to Have:Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra/MongoDB)
• Knowledge of Kafka for event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker for cloud-based deployments
• Exposure to full-stack development with React
• Understanding of ClickHouse for analytics

The tech stack looks like the below (expect this to change as we scale):

You can expect to do some or all of the following:

1. Read through protocols’ whitepapers and smart contracts to derive metrics and analyze risks
2. Architect the backend for APIs, async jobs, and blockchain integration
3. Build clean, concise APIs for customer integration, along with the documentation
4. Setup, run and maintain full and archive nodes across different chains
5. Integrate with multiple partners like exchanges and custody providers
6. Fool-proof security across the stack - encryption, hashing, privacy, VPC, etc.
7. Infrastructure as code - build terraform scripts and ensure easy replication of the infra across different regions
8. Research the top DeFi protocols to uncover better insights for our customers and evaluate their risk profiles, security, and historical returns
9. Manage production deployments, logging, and monitoring

We expect you to be fairly comfortable with working with both web3 and web2 stacks. We do not expect that you have web3 experience on day 1, but you should be willing to wear multiple hats, learn things quickly and move fast.

3. Understand the fundamentals of building and integrating APIs and secure systems. Bonus if you know a bit about blockchains and protocols

Job Role and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Min 6 years of development experience in Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
• Working experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, Spring Data JPA, AWS, Spring Cloud, Maven, GitHub, Swagger, Eureka, Zuul etc.
• Strong understanding of API Security for Microservices (Spring Security, OAuth 2.0, JWT)
• Strong understanding of web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
• Ability to work independently or with group

• Strong understanding of modern development methodologies and best industry standards
• Experience working with APIs, RESTful APIs & Microservices
• Experience building highly scalable applications using Redis, Kafka, Akka, gRPC
• Mentor, Train 3-4 engineers 
• AWS knowledge is a plus
• Strong knowledge on SQL and NoSQL Databases
• Should have worked on developing large scale products and services
• Knowledge on Agile processes is a must

Skills and Qualifications

• Deep understanding of OOPs and OOAD.
• Expert and hands-on in Java JEE and Spring framework, Spring Boot.
• Should have experience with RESTful web services and API standards.
• Should know various integration patterns in distributed environments.
• Working knowledge of microservice architecture and different design patterns.
• Hands-on in writing unit tests with Mockito and code coverage tools.
• Hands-on data modeling (Logical physical).
• Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL and any ORM framework (JPA, Hibernate etc.)
• Should know Event-driven and asynchronous programming using message broker.
• Should know about cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Serverless models of any cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like NodeJS (For the Backend) and Angular React (For Frontend) will be added advantage.
