Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong expertise in API development and AWS cloud deployment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable RESTful APIs, automating power system simulations using PSS®E (psspy), and deploying automation workflows securely and efficiently on AWS.

Mandatory Skills : Python, FastAPI/Flask, PSS®E (psspy), RESTful API Development, AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, EFS, API Gateway), AWS IAM, CloudWatch.

Key Responsibilities :

Python Development & API Integration :

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Flask to interface with PSS®E.
• Automate simulations and workflows using the PSS®E Python API (psspy).
• Implement robust bulk case processing, result extraction, and automated reporting systems.

AWS Cloud Deployment :

• Deploy APIs and automation pipelines using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, EFS, and API Gateway.
• Apply cloud-native best practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage secure access control using AWS IAM, API keys, and implement monitoring using CloudWatch.

Required Skills :

• 5+ Years of professional experience in Python development.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API development (FastAPI/Flask).
• Solid experience working with PSS®E and its psspy Python API.
• Strong understanding of AWS services, deployment, and best practices.
• Proficiency in automation, scripting, and report generation.
• Knowledge of cloud security and monitoring tools like IAM and CloudWatch.

Good to Have :

• Experience in power system simulation and electrical engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools for AWS deployments.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Flask).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for early members of our India team. You will be part of the team that establishes our India product development team. We are looking for candidates who have high potential, are excited about tackling the climate change problem and are excited to grow in a high-growth environment while working with the Singapore HQ.

A junior/mid-level backend software engineer. Must be comfortable to work in a small development team and have the initiative to work alone on smaller problem sets. Must be passionate about climate-tech for a better future.

• Build backend server applications using Flask/DJango framework
• Collaborate with the data team to integrate data pipelines into our backend system.
• Collaborate with the front end team.
• Analyze processes and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas of improvement.
• Participating in continuing education and training to remain current on best practices, learn new programming languages, and better assist other team members.
• Take lead on projects, as needed.

What You'll Do


You will be part of our data platform & data engineering team. As part of this agile team, you will work in our cloud native environment and perform following activities to support core product development and client specific projects:

• You will develop the core engineering frameworks for an advanced self-service data analytics product.
• You will work with multiple types of data storage technologies such as relational, blobs, key-value stores, document databases and streaming data sources.
• You will work with latest technologies for data federation with MPP (Massive Parallel Processing) capabilities
• Your work will entail backend architecture to enable data modeling, data queries and API development for both back-end and front-end data interfaces.

This person MUST have:

• B.E Computer Science or equivalent

Timings:
