Job description

As a Mid-Level Python Developer, you will:

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
•  Work with project managers and product owners to meet specification needs.
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency.
• Deliver scalable and responsive software using TypeScript and Python.
•  Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code.
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs.
• Document all programming tasks and procedures.
• Perform routine software maintenance.
• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines. This includes scaling the pipeline to accommodate anticipated volume and complexity.
• Collaborate with external clients and internal team members to meet product deadlines.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience with AWS Services(must)
•  A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related fields
•  4 - 8 years of experience in software development, computer engineering, or other related fields
•  Expert-level experience with Python and Node.JS
• Familiarity and comfort with REST APIs
•  A deadline and detail-oriented mindframe
•  Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and best practices
• Experience developing scalable data processing systems

Bonus points for someone with:

• Experience with IoT, ML, AI, or VR
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) certification(s) (preferred)
• Experience with microcomputers and microcontrollers
• Experience with the following DevOps services: AWS
• CodePipeline, CodeBuild or CodeCommit
• Experience with the following Data Engineering services: AWS Lake Formation, Glue, Redshift, EMR, or QuickSight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rewrite existing APIs in NodeJS.
• Remodel the APIs into Micro services-based architecture.
• Implement a caching layer wherever possible.
• Optimize the API for high performance and scalability.
• Write unit tests for API Testing.
• Automate the code testing and deployment process.

Skills Required:

• At least 2.5 years of experience developing Backends using NodeJS — should be well versed with its asynchronous nature & event loop, and know its quirks and workarounds.
• Excellent hands-on experience using MySQL or any other SQL Database.
• Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database.
• Good knowledge of Redis, its data types, and their use cases.
• Experience with graph-based databases like GraphQL and Neo4j.
• Experience developing and deploying REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks.
• Good understanding of advanced JS libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with Web sockets, Service Workers, and Web Push Notifications.
• Familiar with NodeJS profiling tools.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Good knowledge of creating and maintaining DevOps infrastructure on cloud platforms.
• Should be a fast learner and a go-getter — without any fear of trying out new things Preferences.
• Experience building a large-scale social or location-based app.

1. Should have experience in full life cycle of Web Application Development in Linux environment using Apache, PHP, MySQL/MSSQL/ Oracle.

2. Hands on experience in these technologies is a must (PHP 5, Ajax, CSS / HTML5 / XHTML , Web development)

3. Should have experience in template engine like smarty and at least one MVC frame work (Laravel / Zend / Symphony / Cake Php / Code Igniter).

4. Should have worked on any of the content management system (Joomla / Drupal / Simple CMS etc)

5. Should have worked on any of one of JS frameworks like YUI, JQuery , MooTools, ExtJS and AJAX

6. Hands on experience with the following PHP modules: PEAR, CURL, SoapClient (WSDL mode), libXML, Memcache, PCRE, SQLITE, etc

7. Ability to write and consume SOAP & REST web services.

8. Create requirement document and work with team members to deliver the application.

9. Knowledge of Version Control Software ;such as SVN/CVS will be preferable.

10. Experience in Architecture Design & Developed of Web Application.

11. Should have experience in web application optimization/caching/DB performance tuning

12. Extensive OOD / OOP experience

13. Ability to propose, advocate and critique design alternatives to determine solutions.

14. Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design Interact with Client to understand business requirement.

15. Hands on knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.

16. Hands on knowledge of UI optimization techniques and experience of working with UI performance measurement tools like Yslow, Firebux, Fiddler, HTTPWatch, Page Speed, DynaTrace, etc.

As a Software Engineer at Quince, you'll be responsible for designing and building scalable infrastructure and build applications to solve some very interesting problems in the logistics and finance tech space.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect solutions on the cloud for various business problems with workflow efficiency and scale in mind.
• Be on the forefront with the business team to learn, understand, identify and translate function requirements into technical opportunities.
• End-to-end ownership - from scoping the requirements to the final delivery of the solution with keen eye to details and quality.
• Build and improve logistics components for this innovative M2C supply-chain model.
• Build and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Computer Science or closely related subject.
• 1-5 years of experience in building software solutions.
• Good at data structures and their practical applications.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Python.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining applications on cloud platforms (Ex: AWS, Google cloud).
• Proficiency with SQL and databases - relational and/or nosql (Snowflakes, AWS RedShift, etc).
• Experience with messaging middleware such as Kafka is good to have.

As a Principal Software Engineer you will:

• Design, implement and enhance new components of the Livspace design platform and supply chain platform.
• Design new features for the e-commerce properties and front-end products and mobile apps

Who you are :

• Deep expertise with any or combination programming languages: Java, Python NodeJS any Object oriented high level proprietary or open source language with strong programming constructs ( Java Preferred ).
• Substantial experience in building complex and scalable solutions.
• Strong object oriented design skills, ability to apply design patterns, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces
• The ability to do deep problem solving and build elegant, maintainable solutions to complex problems.
• Experience leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring junior engineers
• You earned B.Tech or equivalent degree in computer science or related engineering field
• You have at least 6+ years of experience working with large scale web products
