Job Description :

Join our Backend Engineering team to design and maintain services on the Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) platform.

You'll work on scalable backend systems powering millions of daily transactions across Intuit products.

Key Qualifications :

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong in Java, Spring framework.
• Experience with microservices, databases, and web applications.
• Proficient in AWS and cloud-based systems.
• Exposure to AI and automation tools (Workato preferred).
• Python development experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Comfortable with occasional US shift overlap.

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated fresh graduates with a strong foundation in programming, primarily in Python, and basic knowledge of Java, C#, or JavaScript. This role offers hands-on experience in developing applications, writing clean code, and collaborating on real-world projects under expert guidance.

We are looking to hire a Senior Backend Developer, with over 4+ years of experience, to directly work with the CTO and contribute in building and developing new products and feature sets for NostraGamus. The work will entail the opportunity to explore and utilise the latest developments in the world of technology, and formulate ways to incorporate them into day to day work to create stellar products. The candidate must have had significant exposure in building real products, including working with various stakeholders across product and marketing teams. Prior knowledge in building games at scale is highly desirable, but not necessarily.

The following skillsets are highly essential:

1. Expertise in Node Js&Javascript, and hobbyist interest in few other languages like Python, Ruby, PHP. Must have done C/C++ programming in school/college
2. Deep knowledge on Database systems, especially PostgreSQL, and any noSQL clones, including knowledge to optimise
3. Awareness of Docker, virtualization, Redis or similar caching toolsets
4. Absolute mastery in using Unix based systems and Bash. Ability to work in seamlessly in headless environments is a must.
5. Disciplined in approaching problems, ability to maintain composure under catastrophic failures and propensity to work under deadlines

Bonus Points :

1. Passionate about building new products - having done a few personal projects, regardless of success achieved or goals completed.
2. Prior knowledge in building games at scale.
3. Good understanding in AWS and its various services - EC2, ECS, RDS, SQS, Elastic Beanstalk, Elasticache, Route53.
4. Strong interest in Mathematics, Probability Theory, Statistics, Machine Learning and ability to apply math in real-world applications.

Requirements:

1. At least 4 years experience as an SDE, building large scale services
2. Extensive experience in at least one programming language and ability to write maintainable, scalable and unit-testable code
3. Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
4. Excellent command over data structures and algorithms
5. Passion for solving complex problems
6. Good understanding of various database technologies with strong opinions around their use cases
7. Experience with performance monitoring and scaling backend services
8. Experience with microservices and distributed systems in general
9. Experience with team management
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Good to have:

1. Experience working with node.js, MongoDB and Google Cloud
2. Experience in CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management
3. Worked on products that addressed an international audience
4. Worked on products that scaled to millions of users

We want a MEAN stack developer who is definitely not mean but is enthusiastic, quick at grasping, and has experience in handling multiple projects and codebases.

You should be energetic, authoritative, focused, and experimental at work.
