About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Python Backend Lead / Senior Python Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable backend solutions.

The role involves working with large-scale data, building efficient APIs, integrating middleware solutions, and ensuring high performance and reliability.

You will lead a team of developers while also contributing hands-on to coding, design, and architecture.

Mandatory Skills : Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly), FastAPI/FlaskAPI, SQL & NoSQL (MongoDB, CRDB, Postgres), Middleware tools (Mulesoft/BizTalk), CI/CD, RESTful APIs, OOP, OOD, DS & Algo, Design Patterns.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead backend development projects using Python (FastAPI/FlaskAPI).
• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and microservices.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CRDB, Postgres).
• Implement and optimize middleware integrations (Mulesoft, BizTalk).
• Ensure smooth deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and Data Structures & Algorithms to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, product) to deliver business objectives.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Required Skills :

• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Plotly.
• Expertise in FastAPI / FlaskAPI frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CRDB, Postgres).
• Experience with middleware tools such as Mulesoft or BizTalk.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Web Services, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of OOP, OOD, Design Patterns, and DS & Algo.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Prior experience in leading teams is highly desirable.

What we are looking

• You must have experience in Python, including development of microservices using flask/fastapi/sanic.
• You hold knowledge of at least one Python web frameworks
• You have experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
• You are familiar with relational databases and unstructured data.
• You are familiar with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
• You have prior exposure to code versioning tools such as Git.
• You understand fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Good to have

• Experience in cloud services such as AWS
• Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Understanding of the threading concepts in Python and multi-process architecture

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and improvement of both our customer-centric SaaS platform and internal systems.

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the server-side logic of our application, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Design and develop server-side logic, APIs, and database schema to support the functionality and performance requirements of our SaaS platform.

• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using any relevant programming language preferably Java with SpringBoot.

• Optimize the backend systems for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of the application.

• Implement data storage solutions using PostgreSQL or other relational databases, ensuring data integrity and security.

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the backend code.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in backend development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Backend Developer or similar role, with a focus on server-side development.

• Proficiency in working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and writing efficient SQL queries.

• Familiarity with SaaS concepts and architecture.

• Experience with API design and development, including RESTful APIs. • Solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures.

• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer

Excellent Java and object-oriented development skills

Experience in building and scaling microservices

Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting, and diagnosing

Solid knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL technologies

Experience in developing back-ends for enterprise systems

Knowledge of debugging performance and optimization techniques

Experience in Java, Mongo, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring boot, Kafka

Good knowledge of cloud technologies eg. AWS

Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment

The ideal candidate is a highly resourceful and innovative developer with extensive experience in the Laravel framework. We use GIT for version control and the candidate must have experience in working in a team environment using tools like Github, Gitlab, etc. 

• Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development as required.
• Work cross-functionally to convert business needs into technical specifications.
• Help with database and backend architecture. 
• Create API endpoints

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in web development and software design
• Expertise in Laravel Framework, and MySQL databases.
• Working knowledge of GIT and Github.
• Experience with creating REST-based API endpoints

Build reusable APIs for our client-facing apps in Node.js

Create and maintain scalable infrastructure leveraging modern cloud platforms Write tests and documentation as you implement features with your team Maintain expertise in current and emerging technologies and tools

4+ years’ Experience with NodeJS

BS degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering Experience documenting and testing RESTful APIs

Experience working with databases in PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis

Experience and enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others in an Agile environment
