About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Backend Tech Lead with deep expertise in Golang and Python to lead our backend team. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience in backend technologies and 2–3 years of proven engineering mentoring experience, having successfully scaled systems and shipped B2C applications in collaboration with product teams.

Responsibilities

Technical & Product Delivery

● Oversee design and development of backend systems operating at 10K+ RPM scale.

● Guide the team in building transactional systems (payments, orders, etc.) and behavioral systems (analytics, personalization, engagement tracking).

● Partner with product managers to scope, prioritize, and release B2C product features and applications.

● Ensure architectural best practices, high-quality code standards, and robust testing practices.

● Own delivery of projects end-to-end with a focus on scalability, reliability, and business impact.

Operational Excellence

● Champion observability, monitoring, and reliability across backend services.

● Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and resilience.

● Streamline development workflows and engineering processes for speed and quality.

Requirements

● Experience:

7+ years of professional experience in backend technologies.

2-3 years as Tech lead and driving delivery.

● Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on expertise in Golang and Python.

Proven track record with high-scale systems (≥10K RPM).

Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.

● Leadership Skills:

Demonstrated success in managing teams through 2–3 appraisal cycles.

Strong experience working with product managers to deliver consumer-facing applications.

● Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Nice-to-Have

● Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

● Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

● Previous leadership experience in B2C product companies operating at scale.

Job Summary

• Candidate will be responsible for providing full life-cycle development (design, coding, and testing) and maintenance of web-based system on Azure
• Candidate should have experience in GitHub, knowledge of DevOps is a plus
• Experienced in designing and implementing web portals, experience with DNN is must
• Ability to work with multiple languages including C#, ASP.Net, MVC, Javascript and related libraries, HTML, Complex SQL queries, CSS, BootStrap, JSON.
• Experience in Agile project management methodology
• Developing and Delivering Excellent Web based solutions/portals/sites based on customer’s requirement within the stipulated timeline
• The candidate should be flexible to learn new technology and platform and should be creative, innovative for improvement ideas, detail oriented, diligent, and eager to learn and grow

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements to apply logic to integrate functionalities
• Identify and understand any technical bugs on the server, site, log files or modules and work on resolving the bugs
• Understand how FTP server is setup for the site
• Understand system/site technical requirements and suggest enhancements if applicable
• Designing, coding, unit Testing, and integration with Database
• Handle site deployment
• Designing, coding, debugging, technical problem solving, and writing Unit Test cases, etc.

Qualifications

Education / Certification

• B.E. / B.Tech. /MSC in Computer Science or IT.
• MCAD/MCSD/MSITP/MCPD

Technical Expertise

• ASP/ASP.NET/VB.NET/MVC/C#/SQL Server 2012+
• HTML, Javascript, Jquery, CSS, Bootstrap
• GitHub/DevOps, Azure
• Web API/ Web Services, Email Services

Skills, Experience & Personality Fitment for this Profile

• Deep and Practical experience with Node. JS (primary work component), Firebase, AWS/Heroku, SQL/NoSQL Databases with Server side integration.
• Minimum of 2 years of deep hands-on experience with web based solutions, backend development, APIs and web development in node.JS, firebase, basic understanding of android and flutter will be a plus but not necessary.
• Should have worked on a web based backend in Node.JS for preferably an android app based solution which had scaled to a large number of users. Developed, managed and scaled usage/analytics and reporting of end user based solutions.
• Capable of creating and implementing API on node js. Should have deep hands-on experience in  developing and managing APIs.
• Should have practical experience of integrating and managing online payment systems, and build and manage online learning platforms with login, video security, online payment and reports.
• Possess energies and capabilities to experience tremendous growth in learning, deep dive development, take end to end responsibility of the products and join hands to scale our solutions together with our team.

Role and Responsibilities of this Profile

• You shall be working on and taking responsibility for our central content and reporting backend, which is the heart of our tech platform. 
• Should have good command on Firebase functions like notifications, real-time data update etc.  
• The backend shall be evolved into a content integration platform with internal teams and external partners working on a common backend for all content and courses updation, integration and management. 
• You shall be responsible for taking ownership of the current web and backend solutions and defining, building and scaling them as per growth plans along with the product managers and the current team. 
• All web and server side development and enhancements as per product growth vision and management plans. 
• Please know that we are in a growth stage of our app and tablet based products and therefore a lot of responsibility and ownership taking work will be expected on the tech and product front.
