Senior Software Engineer - Product Development

Strong Expertise in CodeIgniter/Laravel Framework.
Sound knowledge of database designing and application architecture planning for Core PHP projects.
Expertise in PHP, MVC Frameworks, and good technology exposure of Codeigniter Opencart or any cms added advantage.

- 2+ years of experience developing web application, Backend, API and big data-based applications/software

- Experience with one of the major relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, Postgres) and NoSQL databases (Mongo DB, Cassandra, Dynamo DB or such)

- Expert object-oriented programming experience using Java

- Experience with Frontend technologies (React.js, Angular, JavaScript or Ruby-on-Rails)

- Experience in messaging protocol like MQTT and messaging middleware like ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ and/or Kafka

- Require experience and Strong understanding of entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile (Scrum), Software design/architecture process, CI/CD processes, unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)

- Experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST, MQTT, Web Sockets

- Experience with containerized environment Dockers, Rocket and Container orchestrator such as Kubernetes, Docker Swam, etc

- Experience managing Cloud infrastructure (resources and service) in AWS, Azure and/or GCP

- Strong knowledge of SOA, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded application development

- Experience in reporting and analytics, queuing and real-time streaming systems

- Experience developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale, consumer facing web or mobile applications

- Git or similar distributed SCM tools experience

- Experience with open-source technologies (if no practical work experience w/ Big Data, or cutting-edge frontend technology, prototyping and/or researching the up and coming technology and solutions)

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who have a **strong development background along with Systems Architecture experience and want to make their career in Consulting Engineering,** This role isn't limited to the software development or support, it involves less coding but more Consulting, Architectural designing/High Availability system designing, Solutioning, Migration, Optimization, customer handling, etc. The ideal candidate should be a highly technical individual, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and comfortable working remotely to match customer time zones for our Atlas customers.

Our ideal candidate will have

* Excellent analytical, diagnostic skills, and problem-solving skills
* High motivation for a role that combines deep technical and customer-management dimensions
* Confidence speaking and presenting in a collaborative customer setting
* **5+ years of software development/consulting/support experience**, preferably in a number of distinct industries/verticals
* Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations
* Competence in at least one of the following languages (in no particular order): Java, C++, C#, Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby, Perl, Scala, Go
* Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
* Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus
* Experience working with public cloud technologies specifically AWS, Azure & GCP
* Should be ready to and comfortable working in shifts to match the customer time zone/s during the working week

* **As a core member of the MongoDB Professional Services team, you will Contribute to helping migrate customers from self-hosted MongoDB on-prem/cloud to Atlas**
* Contribute to customer implementations at any or all phases of the application lifecycle: portfolio assessment, application planning, and design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimization, and best practices adoption
* Work as part of a wider delivery team comprising fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams

Job Description:

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
• Integration of data storage solutions.
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.
