About the Role

We are seeking a creative and technically strong Frontend Developer with expertise in 3D animations to join our team. You will play a key role in building interactive, visually engaging, and high-performance web applications using modern frameworks and 3D libraries. This role involves close collaboration with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver immersive digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications.
• Implement 3D models, animations, and interactions using Three.js, WebGL, or Babylon.js.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to transform creative concepts into smooth, interactive experiences.
• Optimize performance for real-time rendering and animations across devices and browsers.
• Integrate backend APIs for data-driven 3D visualizations and dynamic content.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in frontend development, 3D frameworks, and animation tools.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, scalability, and maintainability of code.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with React.js / Next.js (or other modern frontend frameworks).
• Hands-on expertise in 3D libraries: Three.js, WebGL, Babylon.js (or similar).
• Knowledge of animation frameworks: GSAP, Framer Motion, Anime.js.
• Strong understanding of rendering performance optimization (shaders, textures, lighting).
• Familiarity with design tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Blender, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Frontend Developer

Responsibilities:

·         Develop our new products

·         Define and design common reusable components

·         Enhance and maintain our existing products

·         Interact with other teams, as well as with our users

·         Act on user feedback

Qualifications:

·         Experience as a front-end or full-stack software engineer in AWS environment

·         Knowledge of modern JavaScript and its fundamentals, as well as JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJs, Redux, Bootstrap, Jest, Material-UI

·         Strong understanding of web technologies like HTML5 and CSS3

·         Experience with a server-side language would be an advantage. We use mostly Python/Java, but any server-side language would be an advantage.

·         Knowledge of AWS API gateway, microservice architecture, serverless architecture, RESTful services

·         Proven ability to learn new technologies

·         Always using good software engineering practices such as code review, source control, continuous integration, and unit testing

·         Ability to work in a team with other developers, with UX Designers, and with Product Management

·         Ability to interact with our users and customers, with clear communication

·         Problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, strong hands on experience, delivery track record of medium/large complexity of projects, TDD/BDD, awareness of CI/CD pipeline

About KAFQA

At Kafqa, we are building the next generation performing arts platform. Our mission is to transform how India learns, performs & watchers performing arts. We are currently in stealth mode with a target public launch date in April. Our launch services consist of technology enabled dance classes in our proprietary studios, production facilities and social media broadcasting & competitions.

Founder & Team

The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business. The other members of the founding team consist of senior executives from Shiamak Davar & Byju’s.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend engineer with ReactJS development experience to join our team.
Here’s are some of the things you might have to do on any given day:

• Implement responsive and performant UIs with user centered approach with frontend technologies including ReactJS, Javascript(ES 6), Typescript, SCSS, etc
• Write meaningful test cases for frontend &amp
• Develop Infrastructure for delivering services using a performance driven approach, build databases, schedule automated jobs, etc

Ideal Background / Experience

• At least 12 months of diverse experience in web development for product or services oriented environment with exposure to working production deployments
• Expertise in programming using Python/ReactJS or similar scripting languages
• In-depth exposure to technologies used in web-based SaaS products, including REST APIs
• Sound understanding of Postgres and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

Nice to have exposure to any of

• AWS
• Azure
• ELK
• Object Relational Models (SQLAlchemy, etc)
• Google APIs
• Microservices Architecture Pattern
• NodeJS / ExpressJS

The Role

We are looking for full-stack developers with experience in building user interface components for serverless applications using React. 

The role involves working with the product management team, understand the business requirements, and take full responsibility of design, development, test and release of the applications. 

Requirements:

• Passion for building and delivering great software with a strong sense of ownership. 
• 2+ years of experience in building web applications using React with strong CSS skills.
• Independently develop new user-facing features from designs and wireframes
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

Good to have:

• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Knowledge of AWS platform and scalable application architecture
• Experience with Build and Release, Agile processes and Estimation/Planning
• Knowledge of CSS pre-processors like SCSS and LESS
