About the Role

We are looking for a front-end developer with strong TypeScript skills and a solid understanding of

web fundamentals (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, browser APIs). You will focus on building responsive,

performant, and user-friendly web applications using SvelteKit, collaborating closely with designers

and backend engineers to deliver seamless experiences.

Key Responsibilities

● Build and maintain applications using SvelteKit.

● Write clean, strongly typed TypeScript code with best practices.

● Apply web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, browser APIs) to deliver responsive and

accessible UIs.

● Integrate REST/GraphQL APIs and manage application state.

● Optimize applications for speed, SEO, and mobile performance.

● Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UI/UX.

● Debug, test, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

Requirements

● Strong knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.

● Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and browser behavior.

● Hands-on experience with Svelte.

● Experience with API integration (REST/GraphQL).

● Familiarity with Git and build tools (Vite, Rollup).

● Ability to write scalable, maintainable, and reusable frontend code.

● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

● Experience with testing frameworks (Vitest, Playwright, Cypress).

● Knowledge of performance optimization and web accessibility.

● Familiarity with hosting platforms (Vercel, Netlify, Fly.io).

● Exposure to Node.js or backend development.

💥 What will you do?

As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will

• Own our frontend engineering applications for two products each of which run as independent applications which query our backend systems via REST APIs

• Act as a leader and coach within the front-end engineering team, collaborating with and mentoring senior engineers.

• Collaborate on a daily basis with a small, nimble team of product managers, engineers, and UX designers to understand business requirements and user experience goals and pain points.
• Write and review modular, reusable components and features (React.js / Vue.js) and integrate backend APIs to create a seamless front-end user experience
• Integrate third-party plugins to enhance customer experience. These include 3rd party plugins which provide customer support and analytics plugins that help improve the user experience we provide to customers.
• Actively participate in code reviews
• Work with our quality assurance team to improve coverage on our automated testing suites

• Prior experience of a few years (3+ years) with frontend frameworks as React.js or Vue.js would be essential to work on our application stack.

• You enjoy designing software architecture by collaborating with leads to explore existing systems, determining areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation.

📢 Other information you may want to consider 

• We will be flexible for the rest of the pandemic and work remotely; however, we are not a remote-first company, and the work location would be Bangalore when things settle.
• Our frontend tech stack includes React.js, Vue.js, Netlify for CI / CD, TestCafe for UX testing, d3.js, and Regraph for visualizations.

● B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject 

● Proven hands-on Software Development experience 

● Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the JavaScript object model is a must. 

● Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles 

● Prior experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) 

● Familiarity with RESTful APIs 

● Familiarity with HTML / HTML5 CSS/CSS3/ Bootstrap 

● Mobile app development experience with Flutter/Dart is a big plus; or willingness to learn these technologies. 

● Experience with MySQL is a plus. 

● Preferably prior experience in working in a start-up.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar.

• Previous work experience of 4-6 years as an angularJS developer.
• Proficient in CSS, HTML, and writing cross-browser compatible code.
• Experience using JavaScript building tools like Gulp or Grunt.
• Knowledge of JavaScript MV-VM/MVC frameworks including AngluarJS.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Proven experience implementing front-end and back-end JavaScript applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Critical thinker and good problem-solver.

Responsibilities:

• Work on a day-to-day basis to deliver software to solve real world problems.
• Participate in the design of new features.
• Work with Product Managers to come up with technical solutions.
• Improvise and analyse current code base to come up with improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of Frontend Development Experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on ReactJS experience.
• Strong skills in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and complexity analysis.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail.
• Experience working in fast paced environments cutting across diverse tech-stacks.
• Passionate about Web Development.
• Experience in modern web app development.

• Experience mentoring junior developers.
• Worked with data intensive UI.
• Have worked with early stage startups.
• Have experience with GraphQL.

• Design and develop cloud native enterprise applications as per the strategic application roadmap of DSP
• Ensure strict adherence to code quality, coding standards and overall deliverable quality as per the defined standards
• Write automated unit and integration tests to ensure defect free code
• Learn and develop proof of concepts with newer technologies when required
