Job Summary

We are looking for an Android Developer who is passionate about pushing mobile technologies to their limits. You will work with our team of talented engineers to design, build, and enhance the next generation of our mobile applications. This role will give you the opportunity to work on impactful projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create secure, scalable, and user-friendly Android solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
3. Integrate with outside data sources and APIs.
4. Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

1. Identify and fix bugs while improving overall application performance.
2. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven software development experience with strong Android development skills.
3. At least one original Android app published on the Play Store.
4. Hands-on experience with the Android SDK.
5. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
6. Strong experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
7. Solid understanding of the mobile app landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
8. Clear understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.

Preferred Skills:

1. Familiarity with Android UI/UX design principles and best practices.
2. Knowledge of Kotlin in addition to Java.
3. Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
4. Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically about edge cases and scalability.

About The Role

CapitalNow is seeking an Android Developer with notable experience in Java and Kotlin development. The technical team is responsible for developing the supported mobile application and web app for customers and a control panel for the marketing team involved in CapitalNow. You will be responsible for delivering best in a class mobile experience, engineering-complex, secure & high-quality native Android mobile apps for our product.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate efficiently across cross-functional teams such as product managers, UX-/UI-designers, and other software engineers
• Design, build and maintain high-performance reusable, and reliable code
• Continually improve and innovate software development, deployment and testing to ensure high-quality, on-time releases. Conduct and participate in code-reviews
• Provide UAT support & needed assistance for release management activities
• Serve as a leader for team members to learn from regarding mobile technologies, development, and delivery processes

Essential Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in Android Kotlin/Java development
• Excellent understanding of Objective Oriented design patterns, Android fundamentals, and Android SDK (versions 5.0 and up)
• ○  Experience with offline persistence, threading, memory management, and performance tuning
• ○ Data structure optimizations, security, IPC, App Modularization
• ○ 3+yrs of Experience in integrating third-party SDKs like Facebook, Gmail/Google, and Payment gateways like CCAvenue, PayU, Razorpay, etc
• ○ Including Android Architecture Components, Navigation Framework, Android Jetpack, Android NDK, View components, JSON, and more
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Published at least two original Android apps
• Knowledge of Google Playstore Policies and experience in handling all types of permissions in Playstore
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications

• Having experience working in the Financial Services domain (good if it's in capital markets) is an added advantage
• Familiarity with Unit Testing
• Hands-on experience as a Senior Android developer is a plus
• Having experience in writing complex queries using MySQL is an added advantage

• Create multi-platform apps for iOS & Android using Google's new Flutter development framework
• Strong OO design and programming skills in DART and SDK Framework for building Android as well as iOS Apps.

- We are looking for a qualified React Native developer to join our Engineering team.
