Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Mobile Software Development Engineer (SDE-3) with expertise in React Native. In this senior role, you will lead efforts to modernize legacy applications and develop new, high-performance mobile applications for large enterprise

clients and growth-stage startups. You will play a key role in mission-critical projects, working closely with business stakeholders, customer technical teams, and MongoDB Solutions Architects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, system design expertise, and a track record of mentoring junior engineers. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, driving the delivery of scalable, high-quality mobile applications.

Location - Chennai or Bangalore

Required Experience and Skills:

● 7+ years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience working with React Native and TypeScript.

● Proven experience building high-performance mobile applications for

enterprise-grade solutions or high-traffic consumer apps.

● Solid understanding of mobile architecture, component design, and system performance optimization, with hands-on experience in testing, debugging, and performance tuning.

● Expertise in integrating RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and cloud services into mobile applications.

● Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Context API.

● Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with a deep understanding of modern front-end development practices.

● Hands-on experience with mobile build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.

● Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience writing and maintaining clear, detailed technical documentation.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Good to Have Skills:

● Familiarity with Atlas Device Sync, Ditto, PowerSync, ObjectBox, or similar technologies for offline-first solutions and data synchronization in mobile apps.

● Experience with native mobile development (e.g., Swift for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android).

● Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and Mobile Backend-as-a-Service (MBaaS) solutions (e.g., Firebase, AWS Amplify).

As a Flutter Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust and scalable software solutions that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mobile application development using Flutter framework and a passion for creating innovative and visually appealing user experiences.

Job description:

Mobile App Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable mobile applications using Flutter.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

UI/UX Design:

• Implement pixel-perfect UI designs and ensure a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
• Work closely with designers to translate design concepts into functional UI components.

Integration:

• Integrate third-party APIs and libraries as needed to enhance app functionality.
• Ensure seamless data exchange between the mobile app and server-side components.

Testing and Debugging:

• Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure the reliability of the application.

Code Optimization:

• Continuously optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Stay updated on the latest Flutter releases and incorporate new features and improvements.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all code and development processes.
• Collaborate with technical writers to produce user guides and developer documentation.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with product owners, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• as a Flutter Developer.
• Strong understanding of the Flutter framework and Dart programming language.
• Experience with mobile app development for both Android and iOS platforms.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Knowledge of additional mobile development languages/frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin) is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities

• To  maintain the code quality, organization, and automatization
• Strong understanding of Android Activity life cycle, Services, Broadcast, Content Provider, SQLite DB, Thread handling etc.
• Work with the development team consisting of architects, UI designers,  product managers, testers to deliver high quality mobile product & services
• Develop, test and rollout optimised UIs for diff versions/device
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
• Build for multi device &multi platform scenario i.e mobile website along with mobile app
• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application
• Adaptability is a key factor to becoming a great Android app developer
• Identify the bugs ,correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• An Android app developer must be well-versed with Java programming language.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Having knowledge about  offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Understanding of Google’s Android design  principles and interface guidelines.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration

• Experience in integrating with various SDKs like Swift
• Significant experience working with react native along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages
• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state
• A complete understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle right from prototyping
• Knowledge of type checking, unit testing, typescript, prop types, and code debugging
• Experience working with REST APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries
• Strong understanding of web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
