We utilize various technology platforms, including native iOS, native Android, Flutter (our recent favorite), and React Native.

About you

• You love creating sleek, efficient, and pixel-perfect Android mobile apps using Java or Kotlin.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in Android development, with several apps published on the Play Store.
• You have experience interfacing with the camera, gyroscope, and other on-device hardware.
• You have integrated your apps with social networks and RESTful server-side APIs.
• You possess a solid understanding of the Android app development lifecycle.
• You enjoy collaborating with other smart people, learning, and working together.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development team and ensure projects are completed smoothly and on schedule.
• Stay ahead of the game by finding and using new technologies to boost the business.
• Work hand in hand with the crore team to figure out their needs and keep our products on point with the market trends.
• Keep our products high quality, scalable and secure.
• Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to track progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Brainstorm and plan the company's tech strategy with the CTO and other important leaders.
• Keep up to date with the latest tech trends and find new growth opportunities.
• Give the development team technical guidance and be a mentor to them.

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ Years of experience leading software development teams with a track record of delivering complex products.
• Technical know-how and experience with the latest software development tech.
• Proven experience in identifying and implementing new technologies to drive business results.
• Experience handling challenges and taking advantage of the opportunities that come with working in a startup environment.
• Ace leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Self-starter with loads of drive and a desire to make things happen.
• Understand the Mobile development Landscape, especially Android and IOS.
• Hands-on experience with API-based development.

• Create and maintain mobile applications.
• Contributing to the development of project schedules and workflows.
• Recommending changes and enhancements to applications.
• Work from UI/UX requirements, APIs and mock-ups to build functional and high-performance applications.
• Keep abreast of the latest technology for mobile applications.
• Work with other developers to brainstorm new applications.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in Android Development.
• Should be strong in Android fundamentals (including UI design), OOP & Java fundamentals.
• Should be strong in Kotlin fundamentals and coroutines.
• Familiar with Android Architectures, Multithreading Concepts, Testing framework like JUnit, Espresso, Mockito and Reactive Programming.
• Familiar with Dependency Injection and memory optimization techniques.
• Practitioner of SOLID principles.
• Working experience in Compose and KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile) is an addon
• Should have been part of a team which has shipped at-least one App and lived through the process without too many scars

Roles & Responsibilities

• You’ll be actively involved with and monitor the development of OS stack and firmware.
• You’ll be architecting and implementing best-in-class ‘real-time’ OS to power mobile phones in the market.
• You’ll be responsible for designing, implementation & maintenance of various embedded components and applications for mobile platforms.
• Communicate often & effectively about the status of new & ongoing development efforts within the company.
• Represent the OS engineering team at high-level meetings.
• Motivate, mentor and lead other team members by rolling up your sleeves and offering technical and project management insights and tips.
• Work closely with the design team to create exciting mobile user experiences as per the modern standard.
• You’ll be continuously keeping an eye on the latest cutting-edge Android technologies and leveraging these in one’s own and the team’s work as necessary.

• Experience in Android and OS firmware-based development for commercial consumer mobile phones.
• Embedded system programming and board bring up.
• System programming & OS internal skills.
• Strong Command over Java, C/C++
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of the Android build system.
• Android internal frameworks and device driver development expertise.
• Experience of working with core Android libraries like bionic, stagefright, etc.

• Knowledgeable about caching mechanisms & tools like In-Memory cache.
• Experience of working with version control, bug tracking, continuous integration and other productivity enhancements software like Git, SVN, Bugzilla, Jira, etc.
• Passionate about software development & modern-day Android OS technologies like:

• B.Tech/BS/BE/BS/MS/M.Tech/MS in Electronics or Computer Science from a premier institute in India (IITs, BITS, NITs, etc) or abroad.
