Key job responsibilities-

• Work on features with end-to-end ownership of design, development, testing and take it to production.
• Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Optimizing performance for the apps and keeping up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile technologies.

Qualifications-

• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Android Development
• Strong experience in Kotlin.
• Good understanding on using networking libraries like Volley, Retrofit, OKHttp and jetpack libraries
• Strong knowledge of computer science, algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Android’s debugging, unit testing, app security, and performance optimization tools.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Proficiency at object-oriented programming and multi-threading
• Experience with data storage using SQLite, Room
• Experience in creating custom components
• Familiarity with Git and Continuous Integration

Responsibilities

1. Lead the Testbook Android Team of 12+ Android Developers
2. Own the Testbook Android App (2Cr+ Installs) and its related 500+ Apps
3. Work extensively with Product Managers to deliver quality products and features
4. Improve the App Architecture and drive processes for code reviews, releases.
5. Take up occasional challenging Android coding tasks

1K is an early-stage start-up building India’s first network of small-format stores (kiranas) for smaller towns through an integrated offline-online immersive experiential model. We have started off with the aggregation of kiranas, developing a franchise network for the delivery of daily necessities. To help us in doing so, we are looking for an experienced product manager to own the full lifecycle of product development from conception through release. An ideal candidate should have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. You'll be responsible for developing android applications for managing various working aspects of e-commerce, warehousing & supply chain systems while playing a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment and help develop best practices for future development.
