Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Proposal / Application

Engineer to join our steam turbine engineering team. The candidate will be

responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals, performing thermodynamic

and cycle calculations, developing heat & mass balance diagrams, and supporting

basic engineering activities for steam turbine projects.

The role requires close coordination with sales, design, project execution,

procurement, and manufacturing teams to deliver optimized and technically

compliant solutions for industrial steam turbine applications. The ideal candidate

should possess strong knowledge of thermodynamics, steam cycles, turbine

auxiliaries, and application engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Engineering

 Analyse and review customer RFQs (Request for Quotations) for steam

turbine systems and auxiliary equipment.

 Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals for steam turbines, auxiliaries,

and balance-of-plant (BOP) systems.

 Coordinate with customers, consultants, and internal departments for

technical clarifications.

 Review tender specifications, data sheets, P&IDs, and customer

requirements.

 Prepare technical deviations, compliance statements, and proposal

documentation.

 Support sales and business development teams during technical discussions

and bid negotiations.

 Participate in customer meetings and technical presentations whenever

required.

 Ensure timely submission of proposals with complete technical and

commercial documentation.

Application Engineering & Thermodynamic Calculations

 Perform steam cycle analysis and thermodynamic calculations for various

turbine applications.

 Carry out turbine selection based on steam parameters, process

requirements, extraction conditions, and power output.

 Prepare and optimize heat & mass balance calculations for cogeneration and

captive power plants.

 Develop turbine performance calculations, steam consumption calculations,

and efficiency evaluations.

 Prepare basic sizing calculations for turbine auxiliaries including:

o Condensers

o Deaerators

o HP/LP Heaters

o Gland Steam Systems

o Ejector/Vacuum Systems

o Cooling Water Systems

 Evaluate operating scenarios and suggest optimized technical solutions for

improved efficiency and reliability.

 Support performance guarantee calculations and technical offer preparation.

Basic Engineering Activities

 Prepare Heat & Mass Balance Diagrams (HMB/H&MB).

 Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and support P&ID development.

 Prepare basic engineering documents including:

o Technical datasheets

o Equipment specifications

o Utility consumption calculations

o Instrument lists

o Valve schedules

 Coordinate with design and drafting teams for preparation of GA drawings and

system layouts.

 Support engineering standardization and document control activities.

 Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable international

standards such as API, ASME, IEC, DIN, and ISO.

Cross-Functional Coordination

 Work closely with mechanical design, electrical, instrumentation,

procurement, and project teams.

 Coordinate with vendors for technical inputs and auxiliary equipment

selection.

 Support manufacturing and commissioning teams for technical clarifications.

 Assist project execution teams during engineering review and customer

approval stages.

Required Skills & Competencies

 Strong knowledge of:

o Thermodynamics

o Rankine cycle

o Cogeneration systems

o Heat & mass balance preparation

 Experience in proposal engineering and application engineering for steam

turbines or thermal systems.

 Proficiency in engineering calculations using MS Excel.

 Knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering documentation practices.

 Understanding of turbine auxiliaries and power plant systems.

 Ability to interpret technical specifications and process documents.

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 Good technical writing and communication skills.

⮚    Execute and Support Training Partners with the training initiatives and ensure smooth deployment

⮚    Innovating mediums of communication to increase mindshare of the stakeholders within the organization

⮚    Creating Learning Journeys and Frameworks for internal departments with assistance from Department Heads and Learning Partners

MIS & Analytics

⮚    Having a strong hold on Reporting of Data related to Training, for e.g. Reports, Content, Assessment, Feedback Scores, etc.

⮚    Periodic Reporting of Training reports to stakeholders (Internal & External)

Content Creation

⮚    Developing content based on identified competencies for all Management levels on Soft Skills, Behavioral, Leadership skills, etc.

⮚    Conduct Pre-& Post Analysis as required to match Executive expectations and design Content in retrospect to expectations.

Qualification :

• Work experience- Minimum 0-4 years, 0-2 years in L & D or HR

• Preferred from BFSI or MFI

• Aged below 28 years

• Certification in Learning & Development will be an added advantage

Windchill Developer - Senior

Position Description:

We are looking for best and the brightest to join our team of IT professionals. The role is responsible to address technical and functional questions, gather requirements, resolve defects, provide end-user support, and develop new functionality for Windchill PLM with configurations or customizations in keeping with Windchill PLM best practices. Position requires Windchill customization and code development experience

Overall responsibilities include:

·       Establishes relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand complex business problems, performing application analysis and development for software implementation projects

·       Works closely with other team members in the coordination of configuration and customizations

Utilizes reliable and thorough Windchill PLM application/process knowledge

·       Completely document functional specifications, system design, test plans, test scripts and results

·       Works with the Analyst to understand the business requirements and develop and deploy Windchill PLM enhancements/functionality to meeting business goals, and fulfill end user requirements

·       Works closely with other Engineering Systems functions in development and implementation of Windchill PLM application projects

·       Works with cross-functional teams to coordinate projects and enhancements, to test software, and to troubleshoot software issues

·       Works closely with the deployment and system documentation teams to properly document and deploy systems and enhancements including training requirements

·       Resolves application support issues (Second line) that require in-depth analysis

·       Adheres to the requirements, maintenance, and QA standards of the development team

·       Coordinate development work (including QA) around project release schedules

Position Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or related discipline with an Information Technology focus

·       7+ years of experience as a programmer analyst or similar role with responsibilities working directly with the business to turn business requirements into working software

·       Work with the client management team to derive meaningful insights

·       Aid deliverable development in accordance with the needs and objectives of the client engagement

·       Participate in interviews, workshops and training sessions

·       Support team and client through the project

·       Facilitate project management activities including preparing project status updates as required

·       Deep knowledge of Windchill architecture to design and build complete solutions

·       Windchill Integration with other Enterprise systems such as SAP, CAD tools Visualization tools, etc.

·       Strong programming skills in Java/J2EE technologies – JavaScript, JQuery, XML, JSPs, AJAX, SQL etc.

·       End to end design and development of customization requirements

·       Experience in Reflex/Integrity is needed

·       Should have strong coding skills in Windchill Application Development and customization

·       Extensive hands-on experience in Windchill customization and configuration - Lifecycles, Workflows, Type and Attribute Manager, Object Initialization Rules, Localization, Server-side customizations, Info*Engine tasks, Webjects, Custom reports, Cognos Business intelligence (reporting), Web Services, UI Customization (JCA framework, MVC Builders, Wizards etc.)

·       Ability to develop software development process including best-practice design, development, testing, and build/deploy patches

·       Experience with assessment, development, implementation, optimization, and documentation of a comprehensive and broad set of security technologies and processes, data protection, cryptography, key management, identity and access management (IAM), network security within SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud environments

What you will be doing?

Glance is looking for a Data Scientist who will design and develop processes and systems to analyze high volume, diverse "big data" sources using advanced mathematical, statistical, querying, and reporting methods. Will use machine learning techniques and statistical analysis to predict outcomes and behaviors. Interacts with business partners to identify questions for data analysis and experiments. Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and or prepares output from analysis and experiments to business partners. 

You will be working with Product leadership, taking high-level objectives and developing solutions that fulfil these requirements. Stakeholder management across Eng, Product and Business teams will be required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Five+ years experience working in a Data Science role
• Extensive experience developing and deploying ML models in real world environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other analytical fields
• Exceptional familiarity with Python, Java, Spark or other open-source software with data science libraries
• Experience in advanced math and statistics
• Excellent familiarity with command line linux environment
• Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation
• Experience deploying machine learning models and measuring their impact
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing recommendation systems
• Experience developing and deploying deep learning models
• Bachelor’s or Master's Degree or PhD that included coursework in statistics, machine learning or data analysis
• Five+ years experience working with Hadoop, a NoSQL Database or other big data infrastructure
• Experience with being actively engaged in data science or other research-oriented position
• You would be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams.
