Job Description – Technical Lead (Java Spring Boot + Angular) – Capital Markets / Financial Services Project

Location: Whitefield, Bangalore (Work from Client Office)

Experience: 8–14 Years

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and Angular to lead the development of enterprise-grade applications for a large-scale Banking/Financial Services project. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on technical leadership with strong architecture, design, and stakeholder management capabilities while driving the delivery of high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 8–10 developers across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular.
• Drive technical solutioning, architecture discussions, and application modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, sprint planning, and technical grooming sessions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and resiliency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Support CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Hands-on expertise in Angular 8+, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, API design, and secure application development.
• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
• Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is advantageous.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Domain Experience (Preferred)

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Credit Cards, Lending, Payments, Risk, Fraud, Customer Servicing, or Digital Banking platforms.
• Understanding of secure, high-volume transaction processing systems and regulatory/compliance-driven environments.

Strong full stack software engineer profile

Mandatory (Experience): Must have 3+ years of experience as a Fullstack developer

Mandatory (Backend): Must have strong backend developement experience in C#, .NET and building RESTful APIs

Mandatory (Frontend): Must have hands-on frontend development experience in Angular 14+ and TypeScript/JavaScript

Mandatory (Core Skill): Must have working experience in Elasticsearch/OpenSearch (Non-negotiable)

Mandatory (DB): Exposure to SQL (Relational DBs) & NoSQL databases like MongoDB

Mandatory (Caching): Must have experience in caching mechanisms (in-memory/shared cache) and database scaling techniques like sharding & replication

Mandatory (Authentication): Familiarity with IdentityServer4 and Git

Mandatory (Engineering Practices): Must have experience writing unit tests and working in Agile/Scrum environments

Mandatory (Architecture Exposure): Candidates should have experience working on microservices architectures, event-driven systems, or distributed systems

You will be responsible for architecting and developing features on the application end to end. You will be working closely with the Product Managers and the Technical architect to come up with high-quality, resilient, and highly performant applications.‍

• Design and develop SaaS-based applications based on microservices architecture.
• Work on the core backend and ensure it meets the performance benchmarks.
• Work on the front end with ReactJS.
• Design and develop APIs for the frontend to consume.
• Constantly improve the application architecture by clearing the technical backlog.
• Meet both technical and consumer needs.
• Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

• Education - BE/MCA or equivalent.
• Overall 4+ years of experience.

• Good experience with Front-end technologies like JavaScript frameworks, ReactJS, AngularJS.
• Backend exposure – good knowledge of building API.
• Worked on serverless technologies.
• Efficient in building microservices to combine server and frontend.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Should have working experience with relational and columnar DB.
• Should be innovative and communicative in your approach.
• Were responsible for the functional/technical track of a project.
