We are looking for a talented Java Developer to work in abroad countries. You will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions, working on both server-side components and integrations, and ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Requirment Details

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Java programming language and its frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).

Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.

Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

Job Summary:

As a  Software Engineer II  at OpenGov, you'll build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies. You'll be a key member of our engineering team, delivering new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment using modern technologies, including ReactJS, Javascript, GraphQL, and NodeJS.

A typical day in this role would provide opportunities to design, implement and optimize complex applications for speed and scalability, and resolve various unique technical challenges. Strong collaboration skills with the product, UX, and platform engineers coupled with the ability to execute quickly will enable your success.

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software with minimum supervision
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence 
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing cloud native applications.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent program language is required.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS is required 
• Proficiency in data structures, database concepts, algorithms and observability is required
• Working knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka preferred
• Working knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch preferred

Requirements:

1. 3 to 10 years of experience in full stack development.

About the role:

We're looking for a seasoned backend specialist skilled in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and robust Java development. The role encompasses crafting and maintaining AEM templates, components, and integrations while upholding clean coding practices.

Responsibilities:

AEM Development & Maintenance:

• Develop and maintain AEM templates, components, and workflows.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure seamless integration of web components into AEM.
• Implement and manage content structures within the AEM platform, including content types, taxonomies, and metadata.

Java Development:

• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable Java code to enhance the backend capabilities of AEM.
• Optimize performance of AEM instances, leveraging Java best practices and tools.
• Work with other Java-based tools and frameworks that integrate with the AEM ecosystem.

System Integration:

• Integrate AEM with other enterprise systems, databases, and third-party services using APIs, web services, or other methods.
• Ensure data consistency and reliability across integrations.
• Ensure backend solutions adhere to clean coding practices.
• Conduct and participate in regular code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Stay updated on the latest AEM patches and updates, and ensure timely application for security and performance.

Performance & Scalability:

• Monitor AEM backend performance and optimize as necessary to ensure smooth operation.
• Work with infrastructure teams on scaling solutions, ensuring the AEM platform can handle growth in traffic and content.
• 8 years’ experience in development, with atleast 4+ years in AEM
• Strong expertise in Java with a focus on backend development.
• Proven experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and understanding of its architecture and components.
• Proficiency in developing and managing OSGi components and services, with an understanding of OSGi configurations, lifecycle, and modularity aspects.
• Deep knowledge of JCR standards, including experience with node structures, versioning, and query languages like XPath or SQL2.
• Experience with AEM built in and exgternal search engine
• Knowledge of clean coding practices and principles with a track record of applying them in past roles.

Academic requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related computer engineering degree is preferred but relevant work experience and proven background is foremost.

• +2 years experience working as a react.js developer.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
• Knowledge of REACT tools including React.js, Redux, Material UI.
• Experience with user interface design & user experience design
• Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Good project management skills.
• Developing applications in React including component design and state management for specific use cases
• Experience working with at least one SQL and NoSQL Database (MongoDB, SQL Server, Snowflake, Postgres preferred)
• Basic experience with AWS platform

Experience: 
- 4-10 years of Full Stack Application development experience is must. 
- Deep understanding of client side development, coding in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6, and jQuery. 
- Strong experience using a client side MVC framework such as NodeJS, React JS, NextJS and Redux.
- Top notch programming skills and write code for robust software design. 
- Experience in responsive design, cross browser compatibility and website performance. 
- Experience in object oriented design skills. 
- Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills. 
- Good understanding of how browsers and DOM work. 
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket. 
- Experience with handling Services, RESTful, APIs. 
 
Responsibilities :

- Responsible for development of highly responsive, web based UI in a flexible and well-structured frontend architecture. 
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON 
- Experience with third party libraries and APIs 
- Produce well designed efficient code in a timely manner to meet delivery timescales/milestones. 
- Mentor other developers on software best practices technical guidance and help grow their software development skill sets.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Technical design experience.
• Hands on Java development experience, in particular with Spring (minimum of 4 years)
• Knowledge of JavaScript and NodeJS is highly desirable
• You will have worked in an Agile Scrum environment and be comfortable with fast-paced Sprint Cycles
• Previous experience building web service API’s is key for this role – Apigee is the preferred technology
• Any experience with Microsoft Azure is a nice to have – this is the direction we are going
