.NET Developer - Healthcare

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer with healthcare industry experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain healthcare applications using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and ASP.NET

Design and implement database structures for healthcare data using SQL Server

Integrate with healthcare systems and standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, etc.)

Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security in all applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers

Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality coding standards

Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance

Stay current with emerging technologies and healthcare IT trends

Requirements

3-5 years of professional experience in .NET development

Proven experience developing healthcare applications

Strong knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework

Experience with SQL Server and database design

Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM)

Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements

Experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular or React)

Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud services

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with healthcare EHR/EMR systems

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare workflows

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Certifications in Microsoft technologies or healthcare IT

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities:

• Build a high-quality web application from scratch.
• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code to ensure the applications' best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness
• Work as part of a team developing web applications and services using Agile development methods.
• Contribute to team and organizational improvements in process and infrastructure.
• Code, test and operate Laravel based services.
• Lead the entire web application development life cycle right from concept stage to delivery and post launch support
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

• Develops applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and the Microsoft suite of technologies.

• Participates in all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning and Estimation, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
• Translates technical requirements into application code and modules
• Makes modifications to existing applications and modules in accordance with written user stories
• Unit tests and works closely with the QA/Testing team.
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues in a timely fashion, communicating updates as determined until the issue is resolved
• Works closely with the team to help identify the root cause and implement solutions to reduce the recurring defects and issues
• Takes part in code reviews and reviewing the work of colleagues
• Works with developers to maintain a standard release plan, including code check-in processes & solution management

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years experience working in an IT environment
• 3+ years experience as a senior software developer.
• 5+ years experience as a software developer or senior developer.
• 5+ years experience as a software developer using the following development languages: C#, .NET
• 2+ years experience in Microsoft Azure.
• 2+ years experience using Microsoft Azure Dev Ops
• 5+ years experience using Microsoft Visual Studio
• 2+ years experience using a relational database (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• 6+ months experience using Azure Cosmos DB or a NoSQL database
• Demonstrated project experience regarding estimates, planning, and deliverables with a high degree of accountability
• Proven ability working with business, engineering, and R&D teams to translate needs to Application Development teams
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical area or equivalent
• Experience working in a multi-technology environment is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in IoT environments
• Experience developing mobile solutions
• 2+ years of experience with Angular, client-side JavaScript framework.
• Experience using PI OSIsoft (PI OSIsoft API and/or PI AF SDK)
• Strong knowledge of a variety of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum) and an understanding as to when each of these approaches is most suitable 
• Experience in working in a methodical and structured manner.
