Key Responsibilities: -

• Full Lifecycle Design: Lead the design and development of digital and analogue electronics for telecommunications products, from initial concept through to production.

• Sensor and Interface Design: Develop sensor systems, including sensor conditioning circuits and interfacing electronics.

• Simulation and Analysis: Conduct simulations, perform calculations, and create detailed circuit designs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design specifications, reports, and technical documentation.

• Validation and Verification: Drive validation and verification activities to confirm that designs meet all technical and functional requirements.

• Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, functional safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

• Manufacturing Support: Provide support for manufacturing activities, both locally and internationally, including troubleshooting and optimization.

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering or a related field.

• Extensive experience (minimum 3 years) in the design, simulation, and testing of electronics systems specific to telecommunications.

• Proficiency in designing embedded processors, sensors, and interfacing electronics.

• Proven experience with multiple complete development lifecycles.

• Knowledge of design for EMC and addressing compliance issues.

• Familiarity with design for manufacture and test processes.

Desirable:

• Experience with microprocessors.

• Experience with SMPS (Switched-Mode Power Supplies) design and development.

• Background in interfacing with high voltage power electronics.

• Proficiency with Altium Designer and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).

Job Summary

Vihaas Design Technologies is seeking an experienced Embedded Developer with a focus on microcontroller-based systems for telecommunications applications. As part of our team, you will design, develop, and maintain embedded systems that integrate seamlessly with our advanced communication solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize embedded firmware for microcontrollers, ensuring efficient performance and low power consumption.
• Write clean and maintainable C/C++ code for low-level microcontroller programming and peripheral interfacing.
• Implement drivers and manage communication between microcontrollers and external devices via I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and other protocols.
• Integrate microcontrollers with sensors, actuators, and modules, ensuring smooth hardware-software interaction.
• Debug and troubleshoot using tools like oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers, resolving issues in hardware-software integration.
• Collaborate with hardware teams, optimizing firmware for resource and power efficiency in battery-powered devices.
• Work with RTOS or bare-metal systems as needed, ensuring real-time performance in embedded applications.
• Maintain code integrity through Git, manage repositories, and write comprehensive documentation for firmware architecture.
• Provide post-deployment support, including firmware updates and system integration.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years in embedded development focused on microcontroller systems.
• Proficient in C/C++ with experience in low-level programming and peripheral management.
• Solid understanding of microcontroller architectures (e.g., MSC-51, STM ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC) and peripheral interfaces (e.g., GPIO, ADC, DAC, PWM, Timers).
• Hands-on with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and real-time performance with RTOS or bare-metal systems.
• Strong debugging skills using hardware tools (oscilloscopes and logic analyzers).
• Knowledge of low-power design and firmware optimization for energy-efficient systems.

• Demonstrate core knowledge of electronics principles and practices.  
• Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits in alignment with project specifications.  
• Utilize circuit design software such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or Eagle, and simulation tools like SPICE or LTspice to create detailed schematics and PCB layouts.  
• Build and test prototypes to validate designs, ensuring they meet performance and quality standards. 
• Select components based on availability, cost, and performance while adhering to project requirements.  
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including schematics, layout files, test results, and user manuals for circuit designs. 

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications: -  

• 3-5 years of PCB design experience, preferably in the technology or manufacturing industry.  
• Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software for PCB design.  
• Solid understanding of electronics, circuit principles, and PCB layout techniques.
• Knowledge of high-frequency/RF circuit design and microcontroller-based systems. 
• Strong grasp of analog and digital circuit principles and familiarity with electronic components.  
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in team settings.
