The Role
We are looking to hire a QA engineer who can work with our engineers to test and build processes around QA.
As a QA Engineer, your responsibility will be to evaluate our software applications, product code & systems according to specification, collaborate on creating and executing test cases and perform manual testing.
We already perform tests written in Cypress.
Our Requirements
At least 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer
Experience with Manual and Automation Testing on the web.
Hands-on experience in testing REST APIs and using API testing tools like Postman.
Should have hands-on experience on different kinds of testing like Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System, Acceptance Testing, Smoke Testing
Experience with automation testing is a plus, as you should be able to start automating repetitive tests

About Swifter
Swifter (https://payswifter.com) is a payments startup focusing on the US market. We have raised about 500k USD and are going into fundraising in the next 2 months. We are looking for smart, exceptionally hungry, and motivated developers to join us and build a team of the first 15 engineers in payments and a fintech-focused startup.
We enable cannabis merchants to accept digital payments in the states that have legalized the sale of cannabis and related products (27+ States in the United States, including large and wealthy States like California, NY, Colorado, Florida). Because cannabis is not legal at the federal level (i.e national level), and also because this industry is deemed as high-risk, current payment solutions like Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal do not service this industry.
We are solving this problem by building Stripe for cannabis.
The current cannabis market in California alone is worth $5 billion and growing at a minimum of 20% CAGR. To put this number in perspective, the combined food delivery market in India (Zomato + Swiggy + others) was US$ 4.66 Billion for the whole of India in 2020. Wouldn’t you like to join the team making a difference on such a scale?
Our current payments solution is easy to use and integrate. Our APIs are targeted at developers. Given the nascent stage of the industry, we also build plugins into commonly used Pos/Inventory systems that large cannabis merchants already use in their retail fulfillment workflows.
We are live, and have processed hundreds of transactions and thousands of dollars in GTV. This is your chance to work with US-facing merchants in a fast-moving, exciting, frontier fintech industry.

Every person we hire is guaranteed personal and professional growth. We have learned a massive amount about payments (especially in the US), in the 9 months that we have been building this product.
If we hire you for a full-time role, we would expect you to be extremely motivated and interested in learning about and testing for first-principles APIs that make money movement on ACH as simple as Credit Card payments in the US today (the ACH network processes billions of transactions: https://www.nacha.org/content/ach-network-volume-and-value-statistics)

From Day 1, you will be involved in testing Stripe and Razorpay-like flows that impact thousands of real-life customers.
You will get hands-on experience working with our engineering team in all aspects of the job as detailed above.
Additionally, you will also learn about the business side of the payments business including margins, transaction growth, data analytics, and how engineering can support and increase product-led growth for the business.
