eVidyaloka is a not for profit organisation registered under the Trusts Act that focuses on transforming the educational landscape of rural India. eVidyaloka connects volunteers across the globe with students in rural India via leveraging technology (online classes). Volunteering is a way of life instead of a one-day event, hence each volunteer is expected to teach twice a week for an hour each at one of the 92 schools.eVidyaloka model focuses on improving the quality of education that children in rural India receive by filling the gap of lack of quality teachers, with 500+ volunteer teachers at eVidyaloka giving educational lessons in the respective local language to 6000+ children in 7 states of India.
