Some of the tech problems you get to work on as a backend engineer would be to build the backend for a modern spreadsheet experience from scratch, work on infra as code, write robust code that is fault-tolerant, work on performant code that adheres to SLOs set by the organization.

About you:

● 3- 5 years of experience

Job Overview

Serving billions of impressions per month on various websites with different audiences, our products perform as better advertisements for our publishers. Our publishers expect stable, high-quality products that they can build their businesses around. 

You will get the opportunity to work on a variety of our systems and have ownership of features from conception through delivery. Our tech stack includes Apache Kafka, Java/Go microservices, Cassandra, Couchbase, ElasticSearch, Analytics Data warehouses, Trino, S3 Data Lake.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle
• Primary focus on coding and debugging
• Develop functional and sustainable solutions with clean codes
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Write cross-web-browser pure javascript solution
• Keep solutions in check regularly so as to ensure the smooth functioning of code
• Keeping the solution updated as per the cross-web browser standards
• Conduct tests and optimize performance
• Define and communicate technical and design requirements
• Provide help and support to other team members
• Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future

Qualifications:

• 2 to 3 years experience in Java, JavaScript, API, Spring Boot
• Knowledge of AWS, Ubuntu, Linux Shell Scripting, HTML, and CSS is a plus
• Knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms is a plus

Looking candidated from service base or service division of any company.
Minimum Qualification​:

• Hands-on working on Java ( {Language understanding - Java 8, Lambdas, Collections, popular frameworks & libraries}, JVM, GC tuning, performance tuning)
• Worked on REST frameworks/libraries like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, REST Express etc
• Worked on Relational data stores viz. MySQL, Oracle or Postgres
• Worked on Non-relational data stores viz. Cassandra, HBase, Couchbase, MongoDB etc
• Worked on caching infra viz. Redis, Memcached, Aerospike, Riak etc
• Worked on Queueing infra viz. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ etc

5 years of architecture, design and programming experience preferably in fast-paced dynamic environment

Strong application design and implementation skills, solid understanding of the entire development cycle.

Strong background in Java/J2EE based application

Strong background in Spring/Spring boot based application

Strong background in Microservices based application

Experience working with Apache and/or Tomcat

Experience in transforming requirements to software design

Strong Experience with developing Java SAAS web applications.

Working experience in Industry Standard protocols related API Security including OAuth

Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments.

Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments.

Strong Shell scripting experience.

Working knowledge with Oracle, DB2 or MongoDB databases.

• The ideal candidate must have experience in enterprise application design, system performance and scalability
• 5+ year experience in web services, distributed systems, and highly available and scalable applications.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java
• Very good knowledge of Core Java and J2EE and should have worked on high availability, low latency platforms.
• Ability to question status quo and identify bad design/code patterns which can impact performance and maintainability of the code.
• Excellent understanding of system design and design patterns.
