iOS Developer

We are looking for a Mobile Developer to join our remote team and work on a production-level mobile application. This is a mobile-first role focused on building and maintaining applications for iOS and Android, with some full-stack responsibilities to support the product when needed.

The primary responsibility of this role is mobile development. You will work closely with the product owner to implement features, improve performance, fix bugs, and ship updates to the App Store and Play Store. In addition to mobile work, you will occasionally contribute to the web application or backend, helping with API integrations, simple server-side logic, and internal tools.

The ideal candidate has solid experience developing mobile applications using React Native or Flutter and is comfortable working with JavaScript or TypeScript. You should also have some experience with full-stack development, such as working with REST APIs, Node.js, Firebase, Supabase, or similar technologies. Deep backend architecture or DevOps expertise is not required, but you should understand how the full stack fits together.

We are looking for someone with a practical mindset who enjoys building real products. You should be comfortable working independently with clear requirements, communicating in English, and collaborating in a remote environment. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to deliver consistently are more important than having experience with every possible technology.

This is a fully remote role open to developers based in India. The position can be short-term or long-term depending on performance and project needs, with the opportunity to continue working together as the product evolves.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end development and launch of features on the our App
• Participate in scoping, planning discussions with the designers, PMs, and Leads
• Conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly
• Develop and own launch plans to completion
• Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve the performance and the architecture of our App
• We will depend on this person to set-up/improve the code quality, tracking, and App architecture and this person needs to have extensively worked on React + Android/iOS

Required Skills



• Min. 3 years of Full-time work experience (College projects, Internships are not a part of this) Hands-on experience with React Native
• Deep expertise of either iOS or Android platform and ecosystems
• Deep understanding of your tools: Languages, frameworks, systems.
• Experience with abstracting requirements into frameworks.

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code. 
• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality components and modular code, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
• Strong advocate of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Strong sense of ownership and integrity demonstrated through clear communication and collaboration.Having experience with building and maintaining an open source project or design library is a plus.

• 3 + years of experience of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes. 
• Experience with local databases, offline storage, threading, and performance tuningExperience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is desirable.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
• Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as camera, gyroscopes and accelerometers
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

1. Designing and developing advanced applications for android platforms.
2. Collaborate with UI/UX designers as well as the software engineers to make sure that each app is presentable.
3. Test the applications, identify any bugs and resolve them
4. Manage tasks within Agile framework and controlled JIRA workflow.
5. Document architecture and implementation for internal and external components.

1. 1+ years of experience in Android Development .
2. Previous experience working in a fast paced start up is a plus.
3. Released at least 1 app or have a project in works that you can tell us about.
4. Experience publishing a high-quality android application to the google store.
5. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
6. Experience working with Android SDK and Android studio.
7. Good in JAVA (j2se) and Kotlin
8. Experience with APIs (OAuth, XML, JSON, REST, etc. )
9. Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into technical requirements.
