Role Summary

As an iOS Developer, you will build and maintain core features of the onship iOS application.

You will work on scalable iOS architecture, real-time communication features, messaging, notifications, media experiences and performance optimisation for environments with limited connectivity.

This role requires strong iOS fundamentals, hands-on experience with Swift and Objective-C and the ability to build reliable applications for iPhone and iPad users.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development — 60%

• Develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C
• Build responsive, clean and reliable iOS user interfaces
• Implement messaging, notifications, calling, video calling and media-related features
• Integrate REST APIs, WebSockets and real-time communication services
• Optimise app behaviour for low bandwidth and intermittent connectivity
• Maintain compatibility across supported iOS and iPadOS versions
• Work with product, design and backend teams to deliver stable features

Platform & Architecture Development — 25%

• Design and maintain reusable iOS components
• Implement modular architecture for scalable feature development
• Work with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, AVFoundation and Core Data
• Integrate third-party SDKs where required
• Improve application performance, memory usage and startup time
• Support secure authentication, token handling and local storage
• Contribute to build, release and deployment processes

Reliability, Performance & Quality — 15%

• Write unit tests and UI tests
• Perform code reviews and maintain code quality standards
• Diagnose crashes, memory leaks and performance bottlenecks
• Use profiling and debugging tools such as Instruments, Xcode Debugger and Console
• Support App Store and enterprise distribution releases
• Maintain clear technical documentation where required

Required Technical Skills

iOS Development

• Strong experience with Swift

Ideal Candidate

• Strong iOS Developer profile (B2C background)
• Mandatory (Experience): Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in iOS development with atleast 1+ years in a B2C product company
• Mandatory (Skill 1): Must be proficient in both SwiftUI (modern UIs) and UIKit (legacy surfaces), and must have personally shipped 1+ iOS apps live to the App Store (verifiable links expected)
• Mandatory (Skill 2): Must have a solid grasp of iOS App architecture (MVVM or similar), REST API integration, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds and releases
• Mandatory (Skill 3): Must have basic, hands-on Flutter exposure

Experience and Required Skill Sets: 

1      Solid experience in software design and development using Microsoft ASP.NET framework, C#, Visual Studio, and in writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

2      5+ years of experience in WCF, WPF, VB.NET, SQL Server, JQuery, Angular 10 and above.

3      5+ years of experience in developing highly scalable REST/Web APIs

4      5+ years of experience in developing highly efficient SQL/NoSQL Queries

5      5+ years of experience in Relational and Document databases

6      Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and possess strong fundamental design principles for building a scalable application.

Software Engineer - Mobile (SDE 3)

Our mobile applications operate in the real world: variable networks, device fragmentation, media capture, background work, permissions, and workflows that cannot simply fail when connectivity does. We're looking for an engineer who can independently own substantial parts of that experience.

What You'll Own?

• Design and ship major mobile features end-to-end, from technical design through production rollout.

• Build reliable experiences around camera, audio, media upload, location, permissions, and device capabilities.

• Design for poor connectivity, retries, offline behavior, background execution, and interrupted workflows.

• Own API integration, local state, caching, persistence, and synchronization patterns.
