Experience : 3+ Years

Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer with strong Java expertise to join our team. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance Android applications to ensure excellent user experiences.

Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain Android apps using Java.
• Design and implement new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Optimize app performance, fix bugs, and improve user experience.
• Integrate third-party libraries and APIs.
• Stay updated with mobile development trends and technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Conduct unit and integration testing.

Required Skills :

• 3+ Years of experience as an Android Developer.
• Proficiency in Java, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and mobile storage solutions (e.g., SQLite, Firebase).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Git and UI design principles.

Preferred Skills :

• Knowledge of Kotlin and Android Jetpack libraries.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and publishing apps on Google Play.
• Understanding of Material Design guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing and formulating apps that are suitable for use on all types of Android devices.
• Implementing measures to safeguard users' data.
• Ensuring that the construction and presentation of your apps are congruent with the company's standards.
• Proofreading your code and correcting mistakes before each app is released.
• Collaborating with UI and UX Designers, as well as Software Testers, to ensure that each app is presentable and in perfect working order.
• Liaising with the marketing department to ensure consistency in our company's 'voice' across the board.
• Monitoring app reviews to detect areas for improvement.
• Creating app updates, including bug fixes and additional features, for release.

Key Competencies (Functional):

• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C++.
• Ability to use the Android Studio, including the Android SDK, with ease.
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Mercurial, Git, and SVN.
• Knowledge of C-based libraries.
• Familiarity with push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging.

Requirements:

• Design and develop scalable IONIC applications using open source technologies.
• Develop a hybrid application with IONIC, cordova.
• Experience in HTML5 CSS, JQuery and Javascript.
• Experience in hosting application on Appstore.
• Work as part of an agile team on leading edge technologies.
• PHP & Apache stack with JavaScript, JQuery.
• Responsive Web design with HTML5 CSS3 Bootstrap.
• Social media APIs and third party widgets integration.
• Web services Integration - JavaScript and XML (Ajax), Representational state transfer (REST), Javascript Object Notation (JSON).
• End to End Role - Analyze Design, Develop, Deploy, Monitor, Enhance
• Experience on database systems.

• Proven software development experience and Android skills development

Responsibilities:

• User-centric development of high-quality code that is maintainable and testable
• Utilize flutter to design and build complex applications
• Create custom packages in flutter by employing the functionalities as well as the APIs accessible in native Android and iOS
• Create and translate the designs as well as the wireframes into high-quality responsive UI code
• Design and develop architecture as well as testable, viable, and functional software by using MVC & MVVM to implement new features and meet product requirement
• Determine and solve any issues present in the system and propose your ideas in terms of new features and improvements needed in the new system
• Propose ideal Data Structure keeping in mind space and time complexity
• Stay up-to-date with the industry trends and best practices
• Keep the Scrum Team up-to-date by updating and managing the code and the project on Git
• Make sure security rules are being followed while building the application
• Ensure, through validation of the cloud system, that new changes are not affecting the security of the backend server
• Maintain software throughout product lifecycle including design, development, verification & bug fixes
• Coordinate with the respective teams for bug fixing and ensure we have a stable product
• Be part of the core team developing new app features while focusing on improving our existing code
• Self-starter with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• At least 2 years of experience in mobile app development
• Experience with Flutter Development (or any other alternative like Kotlin, React native, Xamarin, Cordova, ionic etc) is a must
• Experience shipping two or more Android and/or iOS based applications utilizing hybrid technologies (flutter, ionic framework, react native, Xamarin)
• While focus is on hybrid, a solid native coding background in either Android or iOS is a must
• Experience in developing cross-platform mobile applications for Android (Java/Kotlin) iOS (Swift/Objective C), or other cross platform frameworks like React native or Xamarin
• Experience with Futter. This should include from making responsive UIs to efficiently query data and also manage states in an optimized manner
• Experience working in an Agile Environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Passionate about creating and refining great mobile user experiences
• Knowledge of JavaScript, React.js is a plus
• Knowledge of web technologies, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript is a plus

• Knowledge of mobile application security best practices is a plus
• Programming experience in Microsoft Stack (Strong C#, ASP.NET Web forms, Web API, SQL Server) is a plus
• Expertise in deploying hybrid applications across iOS App Store and Google Play App Store is a plus

• Own the delivery of multiple features of the product end to end while hands-on in development as well
• Advocate best development practices such as continuous integration/continuous delivery, automation (testing and infrastructure) and code modularity, extensibility, quality
• Adopt security- first approach in the product development and ensure automated and manual security checks in place across the delivery pipeline
• Lead by example and mentor other developers in the team both technically and professionally
• Support other Senior Product Engineers and contribute to their growth professionally
• Work with  tech leads and the team to ensure shared technology vision and develop state of the art design and architecture for any product development
• Work with other functions such as testing, analysis, infra management, support to ensure faster delivery of products
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with broader team in order to share understanding of product functionality, features, and technology vision
• Look out for technology trends across the industry and apply relevant developments to the products
• Work with the decentralised application business owners to ensure their vision is realised through efficient technology and delivery timelines

• Must have extensive hands on experiencing designing and building mobile applications on Android
