JFrog is searching for an experienced Automation Development Engineer, to boost up our growing QA automation platforms, working on automation and infrastructure development. In this role, you will be developing and maintaining Developers and QA automation platforms, including test execution, bug detection and load testing.  

As a Senior Automation Engineer in JFrog you will... 

• Develop and implement tools for automated testing (Linux Shell, Java/Groovy, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Take essential part in the development cycles, in order to deliver high quality products
• Closely interact with developers and support, regarding customer issues
• Investigate software issues as a result of testing

To be a Senior Automation Engineer in JFrog you need…

• 5+ years experience in automation development in OO language
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Shippable, TravisCI or similar
• Deep understanding in Docker
• Experience in writing automation tests for applications in Linux/Unix environments
• Bug detection abilities and good analysis to root cause detection
• Analytical approach for troubleshooting and problem solving

Minimum Qualification:

• Total of 9+ years experience
• Hands-on working on Java ( {Language understanding - Java 8, Lambdas, Collections,popular frameworks & libraries}, JVM, GC tuning, performance tuning)

• Worked on REST frameworks/libraries like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Dropwizard, REST Express etc

• Worked on Relational data stores viz. MySQL, Oracle, or Postgres
• Worked on Non-relational data stores viz. Cassandra, HBase, Couchbase, MongoDB, etc
• Worked on caching infra viz. Redis, Memcached, Aerospike, Riak, etc
• Worked on Queueing infra viz. Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ etc

The primary responsibilities include:

• Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments

REQUIRED

• 8+ years of industry experience with 2+ years of senior leadership experience.
• Solid track record of over-achieving engineering and platform delivery and scaling targets in high volume, innovative and fast-paced high-pressure environment; proven results in delivery on platform product.
• Deep understanding of one or more of Java/Python/Scala. Ability to understand and critique the core library/language constructs with skilled knowledge on UI technologies like Angular 2+, React, D3.JS
• Working experience with Agile methodologies and durable team concepts.
• Knowledge in DevOps practices and tools.
• Knowledge in Cloud Technologies, CI/CD, Jenkins, Testing methodologies is preferred.
• Experience in server-side services using ElasticSearch, Kafka
• A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, projects and bringing in and growing engineering talent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

• 3+ years of experience with Ruby On Rails.
• Strong Project & Time Management Skills, along with the ability to apply these skills while working independently, or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of blockchain technology, smart contracts and cryptocurrency will be an added advantage
• Experience in fintech domain will be another added advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as Java, PHP, or Python, and operating systems may be required.
