Job Description:
Summary
The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the data infrastructure. They must have experience with SQL and Python.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to understand key metrics, data needs, and reporting pain points.
● Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable, and reliable data models using DBT.
● Write performant SQL and Python code to transform raw data into structured marts and reporting layers.
● Create dashboards using Tableau or similar tools.
● Work closely with data platform engineers, architects, and analysts to ensure data pipelines are resilient, well-governed, and high quality.
● Define and maintain source-of-truth metrics and documentation in the analytics layer.
● Partner with product engineering teams to understand new features and ensure appropriate
instrumentation and event collection.
● Drive reporting outcomes by building dashboards or working with BI teams to ensure timely delivery of insights.
● Help scale our analytics engineering practice by contributing to internal tooling, frameworks, and best practices.
Who You Are:
Experience : 3 to 4 years of experience in analytics/data engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in DBT, SQL, Python and dashboarding tools.
● Experience working with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Airflow).
● Strong data modeling skills (dimensional, star/snowflake schema, data vault, etc.).
● Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
● Ability to work independently and drive business outcomes through data.
● Exposure to product instrumentation and working with event-driven data is a plus.
● Prior experience in a fast-paced, product-led company is preferred.

- Get hands-on with code reviews, Git workflows, and modern dev tools
- Learn frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (we’ll help!)

Job Responsibilities
- Build, test and set up cutting-edge website applications in an efficient matter; work with other developers to fill data acquisition requirements
- Identify and fix CSS, HTML and scripting compatibility issues between a variety of platforms and browsers; test websites on different browsers and mobile device browsers; correct problems identified by customer feedback
- Investigate and discover architectural considerations, such as web usability, site performance and database design, as part of the system design process; research and assess implementation alternatives for new application features
- Collaborate and communicate with development teams and management to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, choose solutions or develop content criteria
- Develop procedures for ongoing website revision; recommend performance improvements; create and refine style guidelines for website content; select design tools, programming languages or applications
- Provide detailed explanations of website specifications, such as activities, software, product features, programming languages, communication protocols and operating systems hardware and software
- Remain up to date about current programming practices and web technologies through reading, continuing education opportunities or participation in professional workshops, groups or conferences

Shift Timing
You will get an opportunity to work with Global customers (APAC, EMEA, and North America) So this would require you to work in monthly rotational shifts.

Candidate Profile
We’re looking for a highly technical individual, with strong problem-solving and communication skills, and is comfortable working closely with customers.
Our ideal candidate will have
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic skills, and problem-solving skills
- High motivation for a role that combines deep technical and customer-management dimensions
- Confidence speaking and presenting in a collaborative customer setting
- 4+ years of software development/consulting/support experience, preferably in a number of distinct industries/verticals
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations
- Competence in at least one of the following languages (in no particular order): Java, C#, Python, Node.js (JavaScript), Ruby, Go.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus
- Should have the strong capability with, minimally, both English and any local language - as necessary
Position Expectations
As a core member of the MongoDB Professional Services team, you will
- Contribute to helping migrate customers from self-hosted MongoDB on-prem/cloud to Atlas
- Contribute to customer implementations at any or all phases of the application lifecycle: portfolio assessment, application planning, and design, deployment architectures, development and build, integration and release configuration, system testing, production operations, application optimization, and best practices adoption
- Work as part of a wider delivery team comprising fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams
- Cultivate your individual MongoDB reputation as a trusted advisor to guide MongoDB and our customers into the future
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the direction of the MongoDB product roadmap
