Tech Lead - (Ruby on Rails)

Role Overview 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer (Full Stack) with 3- 5 years of experience to join our growing team in Noida. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing innovative SaaS products, contributing across both backend and frontend stacks, and helping drive digital transformation in a traditionally paper-driven domain. 

This is a high-impact role where your work will directly influence the future of rare disease diagnostics in India and globally. 

Responsibilities 

• Contribute to all facets of software development and design 
• Break down complex problems into modular, scalable solutions 
• Write clean, efficient, well-commented code (Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) 
• Develop robust and scalable web applications using Java Spring Boot and Hibernate 
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services 
• Work with MySQL databases and write optimized SQL queries 
• Collaborate in Agile teams—participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives 
• Perform bug fixes, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure system stability 
• Design technical documentation and automated test suites

Requirements 

Experience 

• 3-5 years of hands-on software development 
• Experience working in Agile teams using tools like Azure DevOps or JIRA 

Technical Skills 

• Proficient in: Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, RESTful APIs 
• Strong front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS 
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design and common design patterns 
• Skilled in SQL and database interactions 
• Experience with token-based authentication and test-driven development

• 15-20 years experience working on projects utilizing: Java, Web Development/REST (preferably with Spring), Linux, JUnit, Mocking, Maven, JavaScript, GIT
• Experience in the following areas are preferred – Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring Security with OAuth2, SOAP and SOAP UI, Jenkins configuration, AngularJS, RedHat PaaS (RHEL, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Camel, Fuse)
• Well versed in front end and back end development
• Good understanding of encryption technology
• Knowledge of infrastructure especially cloud infrastructure is desirable
• Should be conversant with DevOps methodologies
• At least 3 years of experience as a technical lead – coaching, presenting architectural/design elements to customers and team members
• Should possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Should have experience reviewing code for team members and etching out a concrete code quality plan
• Should have at least two years of experience working on projects using Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Should have 2+ years of experience using JUnit on projects
• Consistent incorporation of best practices and standards while coding; in particular: secure coding practices
• Good Exposure to building secure and scalable applications
• At least 4+ years handling customers directly should have presented architecture artifacts and technical solutions to customers and influenced customers
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills – should be able to influence customer stakeholders and senior management
• Team player and ability to work proactively, provide mentorship and directions to the team and making technical decisions independently

Responsibilities:

• Concepting, creating, and building websites alongside our graphic design team, including taking designer wireframes and magically turning them into effective code.
• Working through the website development lifecycle to launch.
  Designing user-based interactions through an effective front-end architecture framework.
• Developing functional databases, applications, and servers to support our websites on the back end.
• Developing and designing RESTful services and APIs.
• Determining application responsiveness for consumers.
• Troubleshooting issues and problem-solving as necessary.
• Keeping current with industry trends and developments that can be applied to company needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.
• Expertise with MEAN stack
• Fluent in CSS (Foundation or Bootstrap), JavaScript, and HTML, with an understanding of CSS preprocessors including Sass and LESS.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, JavaScript, and MongoDB with working knowledge of SQL Database and PHP.
• Experience with JS-based tools including Bower, Grunt, and Gulp.
• Working experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Experience working with server technologies including Apache, ISS, Node.js, and Nginx.
• Experience in API design and development.
• Understanding of libraries including Backbone.js and jQuery.
• Experience with Docker, AWS, CI/CD, Jira is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail and a head for problem-solving.
• Skilled at working in tandem with a team, or unsupervised as required.

• Work with stakeholders (product owners, project managers, and scrum masters) to define and clarify requirements.
• Provide technical and work direction to the other global developers (be their conduit to the local team)
• Hands-on development of defined architecture and design of both front-end and back-end programming.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven ability to develop resilient code that performs, and scales based on application usage.
• 6+ years of experience in developing using JavaScript and JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Angular and React
• 6+ years of experience building applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Web, JSON/XAML-based REST API.
• 3+ years of experience building RESTful web services using NodeJS
• Experience with Unit Testing Frameworks like UnitJS, Mocha
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or Visual Studio Team Services
• Experience with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Atom or Eclipse
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a distributed and global environment
• Understanding of building applications deployed in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) leveraging PaaS and IaaS Services

About the role 

We are looking for a strong full stack engineer who has experience building web and mobile applications for enterprise and consumers. You will help design, build and maintain scalable applications and build the API infrastructure that can be used across all client products.

Responsibilities:

• Building applications that are responsive, performant, and accessible Produce high quality HTML/CSS pages from mock ups.
• Collaborating with other disciplines across engineering, UX, and Product to help develop front end solutions.
• Using our Micro service stack to integrate front end into the development lifecycle.
• Build high availability and extremely reliable transactional systems.
• Own and manage all phases of the software development lifecycle (planning, design, implementation, deployment and support)
• Design, build and maintain API infrastructure that allows for standard integration methodology between applications and third party services
• Collaborate effectively with the rest of the team to design and launch new features
• Deliver on rapid implementation schedules to build web functionality that is fast, scalable, and upholds smart development goals and principles
• Work on all things front-end and backend including web and mobile
• Maintain code integrity, quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.

Requirements:

• 3+ year track record of relevant work experience and a Computer Science or a related technical discipline is required.
• Proficient in HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, like React, Vue.js, NodeJS among others.
• Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Strong knowledge  and experience with server-side web of building restful APIs for internal and external products using Node.js
