Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Node.js Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the backbone of our applications. You'll leverage your 3-5 years of expertise to build robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs. You will also play a key role in making architectural decisions, mentoring junior developers, and driving best practices within the team. Key Responsibilities

● Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and reliable backend services, APIs, and systems using Node.js (with frameworks like Express.js or NestJS) and TypeScript.

● Architect and implement robust solutions for complex business requirements, ensuring code quality, performance, and security.

● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, product managers, QA engineers, and designers to deliver high-quality products.

● Lead and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

● Design and manage database schemas (SQL and NoSQL, e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and optimize database queries for performance.

● Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure software quality and reliability.

● Work with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications.

● Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.

● Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

● Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.

● Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Node.js development and backend architecture.

● Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, helping to shape the future of our backend systems.

Qualifications and Requirements

● 3-5 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Node.js.

● Expert proficiency in TypeScript.

● Proven experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS (highly preferred).

● Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and design patterns.

● Solid experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs; experience with GraphQL is a plus.

● Proficiency with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) database technologies, including data modeling and query optimization.

● Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and a good understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes).

● Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

● Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including familiarity with relevant services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).

● Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

● Proven ability to mentor junior team members.

● Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Good to have:

● Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai) and a commitment to writing well-tested code.

● Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

● Experience with serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).

● Knowledge of message queue systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS).

● Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

● Understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) to facilitate better collaboration.

● Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools.

● Active contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.

• 2+ years of experience in Python, Django, Mongo, Express, MySQL, etc
• Have built applications capable of serving high volume with low latency in production
• Following practices of agile development with continuous integration/deployment
• Experience in deploying applications in AWS cloud
• Knowledge in building applications for Fintech/payments domain is a bonus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or equivalent from a reputed institution
• Self-starter, hustler, and a desire to achieve greatness is a MUST

• Your primary responsibility is to implement business logic in the backend and create awesome restful APIs for seamless integration with our mobile front end.

Requirements:

• Experience in Enterprise Java building restful microservices
• Strong Exposure to any of the Java Enterprise frameworks such as Spring, Vert. x, Quarkus or others
• Good exposure to databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc
• Good analytical and problem-solving capabilities along with excellent communication skills.
• Any exposure to UI programming using REACT JS or AngularJS is a plus
• Preferred candidate who can join in 15 days or max 30 days.

Role – Technical Architect

ZipLoan is looking out for a strong technology leader of Software Product Engineering, with a Technical Experience of about 12+ years, and hands-on experience in Software Product Development and ownership. You will head our Platform team which will be tasked with building ZipLoan's platform layer along with a set of engineers reporting to you.

Role:

1. Understand the business end-to-end in order to drive a use-case driven architecture.
2. Identify parts of the code-base which can be made reusable as modules or services.
3. Propose architecture improvements to provide reliability and robustness at scale.
4. Provide a roadmap for evolution of the technology ecosystem.
5. Identify and erase technical debt.
6. Provide consultancy to engineering teams on specific design challenges.
7. Propose engineering best practices and help teams in adopting them.

1. 12 years min experience in core software development.
2. Hands-on experience building consumer Web/mobile apps at scale.
3. Strong exposure to open-source technology – Python and other languages,

Linux, SQL and NoSQL databases, Web development frameworks

1. Strong architecture skills.
2. Ability to mentor engineering team members effectively.
3. Preferably a strong full-stack engineer or at least strong backend skills with some front-end skill.
