Software Engineering Manager (Tech Start-up)

As a Backend-End developer, you will be responsible for building the server side of the web applications. You should have the ability to write clean code, modular, and loosely coupled code by the use of design patterns. you should be able to break down and architect complex software. You will be building high scale products on that account good to have experience in building highly scalable and reliable systems.

What does Engineering do @ MediBuddy?

To deliver high quality products, the Engineering team has over 190+ engineers with skill sets across Android, iOS, NodeJS, .NET, Backend, Fullstack, QA, Data Science, Data Engineers, Security, DevOps etc. We use microservices architecture on AWS cloud. Our Engineering teams are organized as Pods with Weekly sprints. We solve a variety of user, product and business problem statements at scale under one roof, which is very unique. 

We're simultaneously building - 

1. Digital communication stack (video, chat and call consultations with Doctors) Ecommerce stack (medicine delivery) 
2. Hyperlocal stack (lab tests @ Home) 
3. Transactions stack (for all healthcare transactions) 
4. Booking of services stack (for in clinic doctor consultations) 
5. Data security, data science stack (NLP, imaging, video, audio based data problems and data analytics) 
6. B2B stack (for large corporates to provide healthcare to employees and large insurers to provide healthcare services to policyholders)

Role overview

1) Overall 5 to 7 years of experience. Node.js experience is must.

2) At least 3+ years of experience or couple of large-scale products delivered on microservices.

3) Strong design skills on microservices and AWS platform infrastructure.

4) Excellent programming skill in Python, Node.js and Java.

5) Hands on development in rest API’s.

6) Good understanding of nuances of distributed systems, scalability, and availability.

We are looking for a hands-on SDE 2 – Backend Developer (Node.js) who will play

a critical role in building scalable backend systems, integrating AI-driven solutions,

and shaping Tamasha’s technical foundation.Key Responsibilities

Hands-on Engineering: Actively code, design backend architecture, and solve

complex technical problems.

 AI & Emerging Tech: Integrate AI agents, automation, and recommendation

systems.

Required Skills & Experience



3–4 years of backend development experience in a product-based company

 Strong expertise in Node.js (Express / NestJS)



Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP / Azure)

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

 Strong understanding of system design and scalability

• Lead design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications & back-end  services demonstrating service-oriented architecture. 
• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable APIs, services, and systems within the  platform. 
• Choose the right Data Structures, tools, and tech stacks and do high-level design with guidance. 
• Build, develop, mentor, review code and coach junior team members. 
• Extensive programming experience with cross-platform development: Java/SpringBoot,  Javascript/Node.js, Express.js or Python 
• Extensive knowledge of ElasticSearch, MongoDB or Cassandra, Redis, SQS and data  streaming (Spark, Flink, Kafka streams, storm, etc.). 
• Well versed in Kafka Understanding cloud native technologies such as Docker and  Kubernetes, capable to cover full development lifecycle including CI/CD

• Write algorithms and services to influence personalisation and recommendation from a  real-time recommendation engine for both home feed to surface most viral videos +  video e-commerce 
• Build machine learning pipelines using Kinesis,Spark/Flink/TensorFlow etc 
• Agile methodologies, Sprint management, Roadmap, Mentoring, Documenting, Software  architecture 
• Proven experience in handling large infrastructure and distributed systems Liaison with Product Management, DevOps, QA, Client and other teams Your Experience Across The Years in the Roles You’ve Played 

• Have total or more 7 - 9 years of experience with 2-3 years in a startup. Have B.Tech or M.Tech or equivalent academic qualification from premier institute. Experience in Product companies working on Internet-scale applications is preferred 
• Thoroughly aware of cloud computing infrastructure on AWS leveraging cloud native  service and infrastructure services to design solutions.
• Follow Cloud Native Computing Foundation leveraging mature open source projects  including understanding of containerisation/Kubernetes.
