Role Overview

We are looking for a Team Lead – Software Development who can drive high-performing teams, build scalable applications, and contribute to AiSensy's mission of reshaping WhatsApp marketing. If you’re a tech enthusiast with leadership skills and expertise in the MERN stack, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership – Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance development culture.

• Feature Development – Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define, develop, and enhance new features.
• Code Excellence – Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while enforcing best practices through code reviews.
• Performance Optimization – Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our applications.
• DevOps Collaboration – Work with DevOps to streamline CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• 5+ years of overall experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks experience.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful API design, database management (MongoDB), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Deep understanding of software architecture, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally.

Founding Engineer:

As a Founding Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and launching our product to customers. Specifically,

• Since our team is lean and we plan to keep it that way - you’ll be one of the first five engineers in leading the zero-to-one journey of a product our customers are hungry for
• Lead technical design and implementation of the frontend and backend of the product with coaching and mentorship from world-class technical architects
• Have knowledge of (or learn) how to work with Shopify’s CLI
• Iterate quickly to create delightful user experiences, working closely with customers/ design partners
• Help us hire a world-class engineering team in the months ahead
• Our team is currently fully remote (with offices to be opened in Bangalore and Mumbai over next few months) and cross-border across San Francisco, Boston, and India - help us cultivate a remote-first, inclusive, diverse, and friendly culture
• Work directly with the founders with an ownership mindset

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks (e.g. Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel)
• Experience with service service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and other technologies (e.g. Mysql, Redis, Kafka)
• Prior experience working with frontend tech stacks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Prior experience working with frontend UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)

• Must have knowledge of at least two PHP frameworks out of Laravel, Cakephp, CodeIgniter and YII.
• Must have basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Knowledge of CMS architectures like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal etc. will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of eCommerce frameworks like WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart etc will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Concepts & a strong passion for Software Development.
• Strong Interaction and Design Sense
• Familiarity with LAMP stack (Apache, MySQL and phpMyAdmin)
• Comfortable with SQL and/or Script Programming.
• Experience in Designing & Developing Database in MySQL is a MUST.

The ideal candidate would be part of the initial Tech team to lead the technology development and transform the firm's vision into deliverables through technology applications. The candidate has upto 5 years of experience in application development and has a strong foothold in both backend and front-end development.

Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Writing python codes for various market data which includes maths and statistical models, fundamental analysis, and sentiment studies. Proficient in Python with a good understanding of various libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, SciPy.
2. Build and develop the efficient architecture of the product to improve the performance and computing speed, with a good understanding of the Django framework.
3. Deploy and maintain the product on a cloud server, handling asynchronous tasks. Good understanding of AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure.
4. Manage data and database, a good understanding of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases.
5. Fluent in integrating systems using API's.
6. Understanding of front-end applications like Angular, React, Vuejs, and other java applications.
7. Lead, train, and guide the team of junior developers.
8. Understanding and application of Machine learning is a plus.

We are looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer to join our team to help build out and manage our entire web infrastructure. You will work as part of a team to develop fast, well-tested, and performant code across various web projects in the adtech vertical.

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end development (predominantly in Javascript), development frameworks and third-party libraries. You will be responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

Required Skills & Experience

At least three years’ experience with: Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
