Position Title : Frontend / Chrome Extension Developer (React + TypeScript)

Job Role Summary :

Build and ship production-ready Chrome extensions that inject UI into existing web apps. Own content scripts, DOM integration, performance, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Mandatory Skills :

React, TypeScript, Chrome Extensions (MV3), Content Scripts, DOM Injection, MutationObserver, TailwindCSS/CSS Modules, Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop Chrome extensions using React + TypeScript.
• Inject and manage UI components within third-party web app DOMs.
• Write and maintain content scripts; handle dynamic pages via MutationObserver.
• Implement clean, responsive styling with TailwindCSS or CSS Modules.
• Ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), keyboard navigation, and ARIA semantics.
• Integrate with APIs, manage extension permissions, storage, and messaging.
• Optimize performance, handle edge cases across sites, and write basic tests.

Required Skills :

• Strong React + TypeScript in production.
• Chrome Extension architecture: manifest v3, content/background scripts, messaging, permissions.
• DOM manipulation and safe UI injection strategies.
• MutationObserver, event delegation, handling SPA route changes.
• TailwindCSS or CSS Modules; solid CSS fundamentals.
• Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and cross-browser compatibility (Chromium/Firefox optional).
• Familiarity with build tooling (Vite/Webpack), linting, and Git.

Nice-to-Have :

• Experience with service workers, storage (sync/local), and i18n.
• Testing with Jest/RTL/Playwright.
• Security basics for extensions (CSP, sandboxing).

A B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Sc, an UI specialist should have 5-7 years of experience in UI development. We are specifically looking for a specialist who has:

• in depth understanding of Single Page Application Development.
• high expertise in ReactJS concepts, including the modification and creation of ReactDOM /Virtual DOM elements and testing of ReactJS components (Jest, Enzyme)
• proficiency in JavaScript Functional Programming techniques (JavaScript, Strong Understanding of JS Array functions, Ability to build Pure JS functions, Modular JS Development, Proficient in using Webpack bundling)
• strong understanding of JSX Layout dynamics and Styling (JSX, JSS)
• strong understanding of global state management libraries e.g. Redux
• proficiency in agile development environment under open source gitlab including testing, change management
• exposure to full life cycle of enterprise product development
• [Desirable] high level of skill with UI Frameworks such as Material-UI (React) and Prime React

Develop and maintain visually appealing, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to implement and enhance the user experience.

Convert design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive web pages.

Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness across various devices.

Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and improve team knowledge.

Work with front-end build tools and version control systems (e.g., Webpack, Git).

Continuously research and stay up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in front-end development.

Key Skills/ Knowledge:

• Experience with React or any JS frontend frameworks
• Experience with, HTML5, CSS3 and CSS pre-processor like SASS or LESS.
• Proficient in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation
• Understanding of React and its core principles
• Experience with React workflows (such as Redux)
• Familiarity with the newer specification of JavaScript (ES6 or newer)
• Experience working with JSON
• Experience building accessibility compliant web applications
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (git)
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
• Familiarity with unit testing
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Looking for a dynamic go-getter attitude UI developer with at least 3+ years of product development experience in building great UI with neat code.
