Frontend Developer - React Js

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on SDE 3 - FE to build and optimize scalable, user-friendly applications with a focus on micro frontend architectures. The ideal candidate will blend strong UI engineering skills with modern frontend practices, ensuring responsive, secure, and high-quality experiences aligned with business needs.

Responsibilities

●      Design & Build: Develop scalable, performant front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and Micro Frontend architecture.

●      Code Quality: Review PRs, enforce best practices, and introduce patterns to reduce technical debt.

●      UI/UX Excellence: Deliver pixel-perfect, responsive, and accessible UIs across devices and browsers.

●      Performance: Optimise rendering, bundling, caching, and load times for smooth user experiences.

●      Mentorship: Guide and mentor mid/junior engineers, run design/code walkthroughs, and foster a culture of technical excellence.

●      AI-driven Development: Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation in day-to-day workflows.

Criteria:

Experience: ~5–7+ years in software development, with proven expertise in React, modern frontend architectures, and building scalable user interfaces.

Technical Skills

●      Strong proficiency in React.js (v17+), TypeScript, and modern frontend workflows.

●      Experience with Micro Frontend architectures (e.g., Module Federation, Webpack, or similar approaches).

●      Solid expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and mandatory proficiency with Bootstrap for responsive design.

●      Knowledge of Blade templates for frontend-backend integration.

●      Good-to-have: Tailwind CSS and Material UI for component-based design systems.

●      Deep understanding of state management (Redux, Recoil, or equivalent).

●      Experience with frontend performance optimisation and browser dev tools.

●      Familiar with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).

●      Proficiency with Docker and containerised environments.

●      Experience with CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments.

●      Ability to effectively use AI-powered tools for code generation, refactoring, documentation, and productivity improvements.

Required Skills:

• Experience with React JS and Redux.
  • A background in building JavaScript UI applications, with a strong understanding of UI frameworks and paradigms available including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
  • HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility
  • Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance. Understand the full web technology stack, e.g. HTML, CSS, HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading / caching.
  • Have a deep understanding of frontend application structure and architecture
  • Have great customer empathy and appreciate the User’s experience
  • Experience with unit testing, using test frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Enzyme etc.
  • Experience in Web Development end-to-end, from design to release.
  • Experience or aspiration to be a full stack developer(Node.js).

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, architect and develop advanced software solutions in a cross functional Agile team supporting multiple projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with product owners and/or the business on requirements definition, development of functional specifications, and design
• Collaborate on technical design and specifications as required
• Code, test and document new applications as well as changes to existing system functionality and ensure successful completion

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years of Experience working on React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Experience with cloud based technologies like AWS
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools(such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)

• Design and code features for the website application as per the specifications provided by the Product and Design teams.
• Ship features in fast-moving agile sprints.
• Work closely with Backend, Product Design, and Product Management teams to brainstorm and chalk out details of features.
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion

Must have:

• Good understanding of Javascript and Clean architecture.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
• Strong experience with Javascript frontend framework/libraries like ReactJS
• Understanding of stateless application
• Good knowledge of CSS and its pre-processors like SASS/LESS
• Good understanding of server-side templates.
• Experience with creating cross-browser compatible web apps
• Should be Strong in MySql / Postgres database.
• Stronghold in Data structure and processing JSON

Good to have

• Basic knowledge of CI, CD
• Intermediate knowledge in any cloud services(AWS, GCP)
• Familiar with testing frameworks like Mocha, Cypress

Reporting to the founder, you will be expected to develop, deploy and oversee the execution of the tech strategy, product road-map and operations to ensure alignment with our businesses goals as we grow and scale. You will play a key part in the organisation's success, taking the current MVP and developing it further to move the company through to early stage funding and into profit.

Quesst's is built using React.js [Frontend], Node.js [Backend], PostgreSQL [DB], Amazon EC2 [Application Hosting], Amazon S3 [Media Storage Service], and Amazon SES [Email Sending Service]. You will be responsible for implementing full-stack features and collaborate with other team members to plan each sprint. You’ll be working across the entire system architecture and be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining restful APIs, micro-services and databases.
