About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of software solutions related to banking, payments, investments, wallets, and other fintech products. You will work closely with software engineers, test engineers, researchers, designers, and the management team.

You will be responsible for enforcing software development best practices in a fast-paced Agile/DevOps environment, while always focusing on delivering high-value. In the process, you will work with primarily fintech technologies and other distributed systems-related tools,
techniques and methodologies.

Our ideal candidates will:
• Be highly experienced in Golang. So, if you have at least 1 year of active golang development experience, we want you!
• Have a good understanding of the MVC framework and also proficiency in using advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ExpressJS, FastifyJS and other backend and frontend frameworks
• Understand and experience with cloud technologies: AWS (Must have) and Azure.
• Be knowledgeable in code versioning tools and dev ops methodologies such as Git.
• Highly experienced with various databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MYSQL
• Have worked on Relational Database and can figure out where to add Indexes in DB to optimise the performance
• Know how Cache Layer works (e.g. Redis)
• Have experience with queuing services and frameworks such as KafkaRabbit MQ. We prefer it if you have experience with fintech systems and applications
• Expected to have a good understanding of security practices for financial systems.
• Have experience in writing Unit and E2E test cases
• Have experience with Network Security or Ethical Hacking
• Experience with integrating banking APIs

Roles and responsibilities:
• Take an active part in the design process of the architecture of the mobile application
• Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features
• Maintain code integrity and organization
• Working with the design team to convert designs to visual elements
• Implement security and data protection systems and processes to ensure information security compliance
• Oversee full software development lifecycle for the product

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience
• 8 to 13 years of software development experience 
• Demonstrates broad and deep expertise in any programming languages(Java, GoLang) and open source frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Micronut).
• Designs, develops, and approves end-to-end functionality of a product line, platform, or infrastructure and microservices.
• Must have exposure to at least one cloud product/platform development.
• Working knowledge of any one client side framework like ReactJS or Angular, etc.
• Should have exposure to one or more databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Graph, Redis, Elastic Search and Postgres.

• Designing the architecture of the core platforms of Magna5's products.
• Spend the majority of your time writing and reviewing code.

• 3 -5 years of overall software development experience
• 1 year of Go programming experience
• Expertise working on SQL and No-SQL databases
• Experience using HTTP and AMQP transport mediums and streaming technologies like Kafka and NATS-Streaming

Interview Process:

Our interview process is short and straightforward, with three rounds.

• Code - The first thing we look at is your ability to write code and tests. If you can share something, we can take a look great. Otherwise, we will send you an assignment.
• Technical Round - We schedule a technical round that can go up to 2 hours, where we have technical discussions plus remote pairing sessions.
• Culture Fit & Compensation - We double-check the potential team member is a culture fit. Culture fit is as important to us as writing code. Once we know that you are a great fit, we discuss and finalize numbers on the same call. You will have three days to take up the offer.

Must have:

• Knowledge on design, development and deployment of applications based on CMS and Dot Net technology framework
• Strong Analytical, Logical Reasoning and Problem-Solving skills
• Strong in SDLC concepts, RDBMS concepts and SQL/PL-SQL, Data Structures
• Ability to effectively work with a highly technical and virtually located team

Good to have:

• Considerable knowledge in the following: Drupal, .NET MVC, PHP, CSS, Angular, jQuery, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, DevOps, Agile software development 
• Exposure to mobile application development using any one of the mobile development platforms (iOS, Android, Windows)

• Hands On experience in MVC frameworks –AngularJS/Angular7/8
• Understanding of Micro services.

• Working experience with DB technologies

Responsibilities & ownership

• Lead, build, deliver and ensure customer success of next-generation features related to scalability, reliability, robustness, usability, security, and performance of the product.
• Work on distributed systems for data processing with efficient protocols and communication, locking and consensus, schedulers, resource management, low latency access to distributed storage, auto scaling, and self healing.
• Understand and reason about concurrency and parallelization to deliver scalability and performance in a multithreaded and distributed environment.
• Lead the team to solve complex and unknown problems 
• Solve technical problems and customer issues with technical expertise
• Design and deliver architectures that run optimally on public clouds like  GCP, AWS, and Azure

Requirements

• B.S./M.S/Equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Java/C++ with 8+ years of experience developing production-level software
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous programming models, and their use in developing distributed and scalable systems
• 5+ years experience in developing complex and scalable distributed systems and delivering, deploying, and managing microservices successfully
• Hands-on experience  in query processing or optimization, distributed systems, concurrency control, data replication, code generation, networking, and storage systems
• Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
• Passion for learning and delivering using latest technologies
• Ability to solve ambiguous, unexplored, and cross-team problems effectively
• Hands on experience of working projects on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform 
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes for orchestration and container management in private and public clouds (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) 
• Understanding of distributed file systems such as  S3, ADLS, or HDFS
• Excellent communication skills and affinity for collaboration and teamwork
• Ability to work individually and collaboratively with other team members
• Ability to scope and plan solution for  big problems and mentors others on the same
