Software Developer (Contractor)

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

• Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices using Node.js & Express
• Manage deployments via GitHub Actions and CodeDeploy; work with Docker & AWS
• Optimize MongoDB queries and use Redis caching for high-concurrency traffic
• Bridge Figma designs to backend logic using Next.js and Tailwind CSS
• Maintain monitoring with Nginx & PM2 to ensure 99.9% uptime

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year of professional experience building and maintaining production applications
• Deep Node.js knowledge: async programming, RESTful API architecture
• MongoDB mastery: schema design, indexing strategies, complex aggregation pipelines
• Hands-on AWS (EC2/S3 minimum) and practical CI/CD pipeline experience
• Proven ability to take a feature from PRD / Figma to stable production deployment

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

• Experience maintaining apps with high concurrent user counts

Must haves

• Experience in building application server in Java (Spring / Spring boot) / NodeJS / Golang / Python

• Experience with cloud paas (AWS / GCP / Azure cloud)
• Experience and familiarity with microservices’ concepts

• You would be directly working with the co-founder & CTO who has built multiple companies before and has built large teams in large-scale companies like ThoughtSpot, Unacademy, etc.

Position details

• Fully remote.
• 5 days/week (all public and government holidays will be non-working days).
• No specific work hours (we will sync over zoom over the course of the day).

Skills Required:

- Good experience with programming language Python
- Strong experience in Docker.
- Good knowledge with any of the Cloud Platform like Azure.
- Must be comfortable working in a Linux environment.
- Must have exposure into IOT domain and its protocols ((Zigbee & BLE ,LoRa,Modbus)
- Must be a good team player.
- Strong Communication Skills

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Proven working experience in backend app development and experience with Node JS.  
• Build advanced ecommerce backend applications for the multiple client platforms (both React and Android).  
• Understanding of design principles and good architecture patterns.  
• Proper Data Structures and Algorithm knowledge is a must.  

• Graph QL and Apollo Server knowledge.  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Work with outside data sources and APIs like the one of Unicommerce.  
• Create Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.  
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.  
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.  

• Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.  
• Have a good understanding of CI/CD tools (any).  
• Robust knowledge of popular databases like MongoDB, Elastic Search, DynamoDB, Redis etc;  
• Knowledge about AWS Services like EC2, Lambda, Kinesis, Redshift, S3 is super plus.

• Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to post-deployment.
• Be responsible for full software development life-cycle - design, development, testing, operating in production

Basic Qualifications

Candidates for this role must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• At least three years of experience writing production code of increasing complexity
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving, and object-oriented analysis and design
• Proficiency in at least one of the following: Java, C, C++, C#, Ruby, Scala, Python
• Experience refactoring code and evolving architectures
• Experience crafting unit, integration, functional and regression tests
