Job Description

• Serving as a core member of an agile team that drives user story analysis and elaboration, designs and develops responsive web applications using TypeScript with strong emphasis on React
• Building reusable cross platform components and front-end libraries for future use
• Performing hands-on software development, typically spending 80% of time actually writing code and unit tests, doing proof of concepts, conducting code reviews, and testing in ongoing sprints
• Performing ongoing refactoring of code, utilizing visualization and other techniques to fast track concepts, and delivering continuous improvement
• Developing deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms within the supported domains
• Good attitude, willingness to learn and collaborate

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline or equivalent 3-4 years of work experience.
• 7+ years of experience working in JavaScript and able to demonstrate strong JavaScript knowledge.
• 2+ years of experience working in TypeScript.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working in React with recent experience (functional components, hooks, state management, etc.).
• 5+ years experience writing adaptive and responsive UI applications.
• 5+ years of experience writing unit tests for React components and hooks / Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Good communication skills - able to write clear documentation and ability to explain technical concepts to designers, product managers and business partners in ways that are meaningful to them.
• Able to demonstrate strong web fundamentals & knowledge of DOM.
• Strong Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, React, Redux, Node and Git.
• Experience with Server-Side Rendering in React.
• Experience with version control (Git).
• Experience in low-level React application design.
• Strong understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Solid understanding of JSON Schemas and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery environment.
• Experience in a11y and i18N.
• 3+ years of experience with Node JS or Backend services is a plus.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) / Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices, automation testing including frameworks such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber,JUnit, Mockito are a plus.

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

• Develop new user-facing features
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Experience of theme design on the WordPress CMS is mandatory.

• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

Note: Every front-end developer is expected to have a proficient knowledge of JavaScript, while most front-end developers should know jQuery.

• Good understanding of (Depending on the specific case, a developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc.)
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.

Note: A UI/UX designer is expected to deliver finished resources for the developer to incorporate into the app. However, quite often a front-end web developer needs to make some small adjustments.

• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as (Git / Mercurial / SVN)
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.

You'll be responsible for developing new features and enhancing existing features for our flagship wind farm design application, a unique tool dedicated to optimizing and analysing wind farms.

As a frontend developer, you will play a key role in building new features for our flagship application, contributing to our mission of driving innovation in the industry.

Detailed Responsibilities

• Participate in Application Development, focusing on frontend (React), to deliver high-quality web applications with exceptional User Experience. This includes creating admin tools and dashboards for seamless internal management.
• Collaborate in our Kanban-based development process to develop new components and user interaction workflows for our flagship application.
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to implement new components/views for major features, with support from the lead engineer and other developers.
• Maintain and update the frontend stack and dependencies.
• ou would be able to see how we build and streamline our CI/CD pipeline.
• Work closely and learn from our Product Architect and Senior Engineer

Candidate Requirements:

We're seeking someone with a strong background in frontend development, a good understanding of the stack, and a genuine passion for creating beautiful and functional user experiences through elegant and efficient code.

You are a person with:

• 3-5 years of experience building front-end web applications; please also tell us about related degrees or training.
• You should be able to demonstrate fluency in React.
• You should have contributed to open source, proving your proficiency with Git and Git Flow. These contributions can include your personal projects, app ideas, or tools, with links provided in your application.
• Any UI/UX design experience will also greatly benefit the role.
• Great deal of attention to detail
• Can-do, flexible and pro-active attitude to work
• Particular about getting things right - both at the code/data level and further up, encompassing design, layout and user experience.
