About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Fullstack Engineer with a strong focus on frontend development to join our dynamic team. You will work with modern web technologies to design and implement highly scalable and user-friendly interfaces for our global e-commerce platform. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week from the office and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain high-performance web applications with a primary focus on frontend features.

Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using React.js, Vue.js, and other modern frameworks.

Integrate and optimize backend services using Node.js and PostgreSQL.

Participate in code reviews, mentoring sessions, and team discussions to uphold engineering excellence.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in fullstack and frontend development.

Required Skills and Experience:

8+ years of professional experience in software development, focusing on fullstack engineering.

Strong proficiency in React.js and/or Vue.js for frontend development.

Solid understanding of Node.js for backend services.

Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.

Proficiency in building responsive, cross-browser-compatible, and accessible user interfaces.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in the retail/ E-commerce / and finance domain a plus.

Job Title: Software Developer (7-10 Years Experience)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with 7-10 years of hands-on development expertise in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise level applications and scalable APIs. Key

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices based applications using the Spring framework.

• Build secure, scalable REST and SOAP web services.

• Implement API security protocols including OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, and SAML, mTLS.

• Develop and deploy applications by leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, SNS.

• Work with Azure cloud services and OpenShift for deployment and orchestration.

• Integrate JMS/messaging systems and work with middleware technologies such as MQ.

• Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.

• Work with Netflix Conductor or Zuul for orchestration and routing.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver robust solutions in an Agile setup.

Required Skills:

• Strong JAVA OOPS fundamentals.

• Strong proficiency in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security).

• Solid experience in microservices architecture.

• Handson experience with AWS cloud and OpenShift ecosystem.

• Familiarity with Azure services.

• Strong understanding of API security mechanisms.

• Expertise in building RESTful APIs.

• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.

• Should have worked on integration with AppDynamics or similar APM tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to have skills:

• SOAP web services and graphQL

• Experience with JMS, messaging middleware, and MQ.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science or related field.

• 7-10 years of experience in backend development or full Stack development roles. 

Founding Engineer:

As a Founding Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and launching our product to customers. Specifically,

• Since our team is lean and we plan to keep it that way - you’ll be one of the first five engineers in leading the zero-to-one journey of a product our customers are hungry for
• Lead technical design and implementation of the frontend and backend of the product with coaching and mentorship from world-class technical architects
• Have knowledge of (or learn) how to work with Shopify’s CLI
• Iterate quickly to create delightful user experiences, working closely with customers/ design partners
• Help us hire a world-class engineering team in the months ahead
• Our team is currently fully remote (with offices to be opened in Bangalore and Mumbai over next few months) and cross-border across San Francisco, Boston, and India - help us cultivate a remote-first, inclusive, diverse, and friendly culture
• Work directly with the founders with an ownership mindset

Skills and Experience:

• Prior experience working with backend tech stacks (e.g. Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel)
• Experience with service service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and other technologies (e.g. Mysql, Redis, Kafka)
• Prior experience working with frontend tech stacks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Prior experience working with frontend UI frameworks (e.g. Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS)

Job Summary:

As a  Software Engineer II  at OpenGov, you'll build best-in-class SaaS solutions that enable efficiency, transparency, and accountability within government agencies. Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• BA/BS in a computer-science-related discipline or equivalent experience required
• 3+ years of professional experience in developing cloud native applications.
• Proficiency in Java or C++ or C# or equivalent program language is required.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS is required 
• Proficiency in data structures, database concepts, algorithms and observability is required
• Working knowledge of event-driven architecture and Kafka preferred
• Working knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch preferred
