We are looking for insatiably curious, always learning SDE 2 Fullstack Engineers. You could get a chance to work on the most important and challenging problems at scale.

Responsibilities:

* Work in managing products as part of SciSpace product suite.

* Partner with product owners in designing software that becomes part of researchers’ lives

* Model real-world scenarios into code that can build the SciSpace platform

* Test code that you write and continuously improve practices at SciSpace

* Arrive at technology decisions after extensive debates with other engineers

* Manage large projects from conceptualisation, all the way through deployments

* Evolve an ecosystem of tools and libraries that make it possible for SciSpace to provide reliable, always-on, performant services to our users

* Partner with other engineers in developing an architecture that is resilient to changes in product requirements and usage

* Work on the user-interface side and deliver a snappy, enjoyable experience to your users

Our Ideal Candidate would:

* Strong grasp of one high-level language like Python, JavaScript, etc.

* Strong grasp of front-end HTML/CSS, non-trivial browser-side JavaScript

* General awareness of SQL and database design concepts

* Solid understanding of testing fundamentals

* Strong communication skills

* Should have prior experience in managing and executing technology products.

Bonus:

* Prior experience working with high-volume, always-available web applications

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Full Stack Developer with a strong background in application architecture and design. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, with extensive experience in web frameworks such as Django or Flask along with front-end technologies- React, JavaScript. You'll play a key role in designing scalable applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development:
• - Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python or Golang.
• - Build and optimize APIs and microservices that power innovative, user-focused features.
• - Implement security and data protection measures that are scalable from day one.
• - Collaborate closely with DevOps to deploy and manage applications seamlessly in dynamic    cloud environments.
• Frontend Development:
• - Work hand-in-hand with front-end developers to integrate and harmonize backend systems with React-based applications.
• - Contribute to the UI/UX design process, ensuring an intuitive, frictionless user experience that aligns with the startup’s vision.
• - Continuously optimize web applications to ensure they are fast, responsive, and scalable as the user base grows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in backend development, with proficiency in Python and/or Golang.
• Strong experience in front-end technologies, particularly React.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward tackling challenges

Ability to translate Wireframes and PSD Designs into functional web apps using HTML5, AngularJS, Reactjs , Node.js, Typescript and Mongodb

Binding of UI elements to JavaScript object models

Creating RESTful services with Node.js

Python or PHP knowledge will be good

Architect scalable web architectures

Work in a cross-functional team to deliver a complete user experience

Create Unit and Integration tests to ensure the quality of code

Be responsive to change requests and feature requests

Write code that is cross-platform and cross-device compatible

Ability to wear many hats and learn new technologies quickly

Qualification and Work Experience

Qualification: B.E./B. Tech/BCA/MCA

Work experience: 1- 8 years

Minimum 1-8 years of experience in Designs, develops and implementation of web-based Java applications to support business  requirements and projects.

Hands-on experience in Java and J2EE Ecosystem.

Hands-on experience in Spring boot, Hibernate and/or Struts frameworks.

Good familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming, Web services, REST, HTTP.

Strong experience with databases and MySQL.

Experience in Agile Development/Project Management, DevOps CI/CD process is a big plus.

1-6 years minimum in creating complex HTML based solutions

Detail oriented experience as a Web Developer creating Angular/React/Vue based solutions

1-6 years with Node.js and Express js

Ability to work both independently and in collaborative teams to communicate design and build ideas effectively

Experience using asynchronous RESTful services (JSON)

 Knowledge and Hands-on experience on ASP.Net, C#, MS SQL Server, Restful, C# 3.5/4.0, MVC

Desirable Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Solid understanding of best practices in web application development.

Knowledge and Hands-on experience on Java,

Requirements

Fluent knowledge of the latest HTML/CSS standards and best practices

Working knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, ReactJS and Angular Working knowledge of Node.js and Express js

Solid Understanding of HTTP protocol and how server-side code is processed on the client

Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds Excellent hands-on experience with MongoDB , Mongo aggregation, MySQL, Ability to build REST services, Authentications, MVC applications

Excellent Object-Oriented Programming skills and ability to write modular, secure, scalable and maintainable code 

Experience with Elastic search, Redis.

Some experience with Photoshop or Sketch is a plus (creating sprites, optimizing, cutting or adjusting images)

Working knowledge of front end optimization and performance techniques

Obsession with lean, clean and organized front-end code

Cross-browser development and troubleshooting

Experience building Responsive websites for web, tablet and mobile devices

Eye for details is crucial

Able to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
