Founding Product Engineer, Applied AI

WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

Weve built a multi-agent AI system for marketing. It works well out of the box but every client (their data, workflows, brand rules, compliance constraints, output preferences) is different. Generic doesnt ship results. Customised does.

This role is the bridge: you sit between our agent architecture and the client’s reality. You understand both deeply, and you make the agents do what each specific client needs them to do.

Think Palantir Forward Deployed Engineer, but for AI agents. An engineer who owns product outcomes end-to-end.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Day-to-day split: roughly 60% in Codex and Claude Code shipping customisations, 40% in client rooms understanding what to ship next.

• Customise the agents. Tune prompts, build new agent capabilities, configure workflows, wire up integrations. Codex and Claude Code are your primary IDEs. You ship working code, not specs for someone else to build.
• Own client outcomes end-to-end. From discovery to live deployment, you are the person responsible for whether the agents actually solve the client’s problem. No PM-engineer handoff to hide behind.
• Problem-solve in real time. Client says “the output tone is off for our brand” or “the research agent is missing X data source” — you diagnose, fix, and redeploy, usually within days.
• Hold your own on creative. When a CMO says “this doesn’t feel right,” you can question intelligently — is it the prompt, the input brief, the brand guidelines themselves, or the client’s own confusion? Most engineers reach for the prompt. The good ones diagnose first.
• Feed learnings back to core product. Anything that gets customised 3+ times becomes a platform feature. You decide what graduates.
• Build the playbook. As we scale from 10 to 50 to 100 clients, the customisation patterns you create become the foundation others work from.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Real engineering chops. You can read a codebase, write production code, debug agent failures, and ship to live clients. AI tools are your accelerant, not your crutch.
• Comfort with agents as a system. You understand how LLMs fail, why prompts drift, what context engineering means, when to use tools vs. fine-tuning, why eval harnesses matter. If “MCP,” “tool use,” and “agent harness” feel like jargon, this isn’t the role.
• Client-facing instincts. Comfortable in a room with a CMO, an enterprise IT head, and a junior brand manager — and you can switch register for each in the same meeting. If client calls feel like tax to you, don’t apply.
• Some creative literacy. You don’t need to be a designer. You do need to be able to tell the difference between “this output is technically broken” and “this output is technically fine but creatively wrong” — and chase the right thread.
• Bias toward shipping. A working hack today beats a clean design next quarter.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Driving the success of the software engineering team at Datamotive.

• Collaborating with senior and peer engineers to prioritize and deliver features on the roadmap.

• Build strong development team with focus on building optimized & usable solutions.

• Research, Design & Develop distributed solution to handle workload mobility across multi & hybrid clouds

• Assist in Identifying, Researching & Designing newer features and cloud platform support in areas of disaster recovery, data protection, workload migration etc.

• Assist in building product roadmap.

• Conduct pilot tests to assess the functionality of newly developed programs.

• Front facing customers for product introduction, knowledge transfer, solutioning, bugs triaging etc.

• Assist customers by giving product demos, conducting POCs, trainings etc.

• Manage Datamotive infrastructure, bring innovative automation for optimizing infrastructure usage through monitoring and scripting.

• Design test environments to simulate customer behaviours and use cases in VMware vSphere, AWS, GCP, Azure clouds.

• Help write technical documentation, generate marketing content like blogs, webinars, seminars etc.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 3 – 8 years of experience in software development with relevant domain understanding of Data Protection, Disaster Recovery, Ransomware Recovery.

• A strong understanding and demonstrable experience with at least one of the major public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure or VMware)

• A strong understanding and experience of designing and developing architecture of complex, distributed systems.

• Insights into development of client-server SaaS applications with good breadth across networking, storage, micro-services, and other web technologies.

• Experience of building and leading strong development teams with systems product development background

• Programming knowledge in either of GO Lang, C, C++, Python or Shell script.

• Should be a computer science graduate with strong fundamentals & problem-solving abilities.

• Good understanding of virtualization, storage and cloud platforms like VMware, AWS, GCP, Azure and/or Kubernetes will be preferable

• Own the development/improvement of products and features.
• Own the responsibility for creating a great user experience on the products and features you work on.
• Build features end-to-end: both the user interfaces and the backend APIs.
• Set technical standards and lead the team in building a world-class scalable software development process.
• Lead large-scale design updates and rollouts.
• Partner with infrastructure engineers to scale the product.
• Investigate state-of-the-art frameworks and tooling to build our next-generation architecture.
• Guide and mentor junior team members 

• 8+ years of relevant front-end development experience, previous start up experience is highly desirable.
• Experience building, running, and debugging single-page apps in a modern JavaScript framework.
• Demonstrated knowledge of React, Redux and CSSAbility to work independently as well as cross-functionally with other engineering teams and product.
• Tech Lead / Management experience.

This company is entire new but I have been working on my own project from last 8 years . 

Well here our  target is to finish at least 90 e-commerce websites a month .... as per the calculation one  should be able to finish one site within 3 days ( mainly on woo commerce) 

( we already have more work than we can finish for next 3 years) which makes us pretty stable as most of the new company .

So there are 2 categories of web designer we are looking for 

1. Salary range - 15k - 20 k (0-1 years experience)- Should be able to make a full responsive ecom ( woo commerce) website in 3 days 
2. Senior designer/ developer.  - 25- 40k  -Should be able to handle the team of 9 designer ,    -To make sure the checklist provided by client is met. -To make sure Deadlines to met for delivery .

P.s salaries entirely on the basis on ability  to perform and existing knowledge.
